Zac's Hamburgers — Restaurant in Aston Township

First visit here in about 10 years. We used to go on Sundays and get a "Sack of Zac's" which was 10 burgers for $10. They were small, tasty 'smash' burgers at a great price.

Nowadays, the deal has changed to 4 burgers and 4 boneless chicken wings for $18.99-- So yeah, times have changed. Individual burgers are in the $4-5 range and are still small, but tasty. Zac's milkshakes are great and their Hot Sausage sandwich is excellent.

One thing I noticed during this visit is they are very busy-- more so than I remembered. The staff, though, is friendly and hard-working. Orders are placed quickly, efficiently and come out of the kitchen hot. When dining in, they call out your name and bring you food out to you with a smile. No kidding-- an actual smile, which can be rare these days.

As mentioned, the burgers aren't exactly thick and juicy and make no pretention of being gourmet-- just a well-done beef patty on a bun with ample cheese and the toppings of your choice. Partner that with a chocolate shake and maybe some fries and you're good to go.

I would take the Zac's Burgers experience over the mega-chain fast food...

I bought my 3 kids there for dinner. We ordered $43 worth of food. I myself asked for extra buffalo sause on my 10 wings asking for them to be hot. My son ordered 10 wings mild. Once we had gotten our food I checked it before I left. All 20 wings were in one box. I proceeded to ask for a side of hot sause so I could put it on my wings when I got home. There was a younger black girl that said that they dont have hot sause. They a tall heavyset teenage white male said that hot and mild wings were the same thing. Then to top it off an older heavyset white female cook said out loud "dont argue with this friggin person as I was 8 feet away from her. There were 5 other families that were waiting for their food shook there heads at me and said these people are ignorant and it will be the last time that they would go there. I only asked for a side of hot sause that I would have gladly paid for but yet the 3 staff members were extremely rude. I dont get mad, I get even. When I get done with zacks in Aston. No one will want to go there. Its not hard talking to people...

For about a month now, I've been reading through the list of Hamburger spots from A-Z on Wikipedia. I'm currently on J. What I've found interesting was the burger spots that aren't really known and that have been around for so many years, seem to be the best burger spots to visit. Personally, I was tired of Wendy's being my go to spot if I wanted a burger.

I know once I get to Z, I will come across Zac's Hamburgers. HANDS DOWN THE BEST BURGER I'VE EVER TASTED. First time I got it was through DoorDash (was good, but wasn't as good as it would have been ordering it in person). The second time (just one month later) I was able to stop in at one of their locations and ordered 2 double cheese burgers with bacon and fried onion, mozzarella sticks, and a banana milkshake. The burgers are made to order, juicy, flavourful, cheesy, and just gives you that feel of what a burger is suppose to taste like. The milkshakes were fresh, the mozzarella sticks were crispy and cheesy. I was not disappointed. I will never go to another fast food burger spot again after trying...
