My favorite dive bar in Astoria. I've been coming here with friends for twenty years. It has a warm inviting feel for a dive bar. The drinks are always poured well. They have two pool tables open for free play mid week. Six or so video poker machines. A updated jukebox. Shuffleboard table. And taco Tuesday is a local favorite here. My friend Paula made them famous here. Only 2 bucks each! Daily and weekly drink specials. It's a local favorite, stop in it will be yours too.

Nice place to play some pool or shuffle board (complementary). Affordable drinks. Just a bit sad that there's no list with the drinks we can choose from. There's only a chalkboard with a list of beers on tap. Tieler makes some great non-alcoholic drinks but those are apparently off menu and other bartenders have no idea what I'm asking for (they're still willing to mix something up for me though). We love the non-conservative atmosphere.

Taco Tuesday is the day to go, but they're open, and there's good, cheap food every day! One dollar per taco. They taste good. People are fairly nice. Definitely a local hangout. All sorts of character, and all sorts of characters! Much more fun than the TT bar down the street. Going West, I would visit here, then skip a couple places & go to Hondo's next.

Bartendress yelled out, as our party of 6 and one other woman walked in (before midnight) "I ALREADY CALLED LAST CALL!" And then locked the front door. She was extremely rude and wasn't interested in making money or making the owner money. I'd fire her if she worked for me. I'd give this dive negative stars if I could. My prediction will be that it won't be open for much longer with how customers are treated. I do not recommend this place nor will I ever waste my energy stepping foot in there again. I don't usually give bad reviews, if I have nothing nice to say, I keep it to myself, but this place...

Hmmm, not exactly what I was expecting. As a frequent visitor to Astoria, I had jumped to the conclusion that this place might be too "locals only" for me to enjoy. You learn something new every day if paying attention. I had a blast. Owner/Operator Andy is a great guy and a Sneaker Head ! (check my Mystic Streetwear post fellow heads) Desdemona was throwing a party for Andy's Wife and Mom & Dad were in attendance, a bunch of twenty somethings and the whole range enjoying good times.
