Exceptional service and a very competent staff. We were very impressed with the woman who works the front office and handles customers and billing. Dean (technical guy) was very professional and very knowledgeable. He was able to communicate the issues in language we could understand, he fixed our laptop, charged what he said he would charge, and kept us updated along the entire process via cell phone. There were no surprises and no hidden charges. We were extremely happy with the service they provided, and felt they were very competitively priced. We arrived in Astoria by boat and called Mossy Tech to see if they were able to fix our boat's laptop quickly. It had stopped working - likely due to moisture- and we needed it back soon, as we were scheduled to depart the next day. Dean told us to bring it right in, so we walked from the West Basin Marina to their store. We explained what the laptop wouldn't do, what we thought the problem might be, and he said he'd take a look and call my cell within half an hour to let us know what he found. We left to get a cup of coffee and wait for his call. Fifteen minutes later, he called with the diagnosis. We needed two memory boards that were indeed corroded due to moisture. He ordered the parts (over-night delivery at less than what I could buy from Amazon), installed them, and ran a thorough diagnostic check to make sure the computer was functioning at 100%. It was. My trusty PC got sicker and sicker a few months ago. Through numerous scans and tests I came up empty and for the first time in my life took a computer to a shop. Staff at MossyTech were friendly and helpful, diagnosing a problem I would never have solved. Bad news: the motherboard was failing and I needed a new PC.
