I had never eaten here before although knowing the owner thru association for years. Deciding to try it I found an array of wonderful options to choose from. I love me some breakfast anytime of day! Speaking to James and asking him what he recommended he pointed everything out in it's order of best selling to least selling. I told him i definitely want some hashbrowns and eggs. He said ok. As I requested he surprise me after choosing a Denver omelet. What he served me was a delightful option of bu d quits and gravy that are to die for alongside the Denver omelette, hash rows and a side of some of the best salsa I've had outside my own homemade salsa. Everything was cooked to perfection👌 . Hashbrowns nicely browned and crisp. Gravy smooth and perfectly seasoned to a delightful melt in ur mouth taste. Omelet filled with perfectly spread combined portions of veggies and ham, topped with perfectly melted Tillamook cheese. It's exquisite to have with the freshly brewed coffee he always has as well. I could not be more content with the service and meal that James and his crew provide at this restaurant. Great job. May u keep your doors open for years to come. As far as recommendations on the menu... I encourage anyone to try everything. It's all delicious eats that's freshly made to order. James just brought me a small order of the Texas French toast to try....HOLY SHIT! THAT'S DELICIOUS!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – Best Breakfast of Our Trip! Never judge a book by its cover! Tucked away inside an antique mall, Riverwalk Restaurant turned out to be the surprise hit of our 10-day Oregon and Washington trip. It’s an unassuming spot, but hands down served us the best breakfast we had during our entire vacation. Every meal here is generously portioned and comes with eggs and/or meat, making it hearty and satisfying. We ordered the French toast with an egg and bacon, a half order of biscuits and gravy (made from scratch—absolutely fantastic), a side of sausage, and two perfectly cooked over-medium eggs. We also added two à la carte pancakes with a side of bacon, and everything was delicious. The service was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. This place may be easy to miss, but it’s 100% worth seeking out if you’re in Astoria. don’t skip it!

We were looking for a breakfast place in Astoria & decided to give this place a try….it’s a small space but they use it well. It was busy but we got a table for two on the outside. Our order was taken - very simplistic menu but options fits breakfast needs. Pepsi products. Food took a little time but expected with how busy they were. We chose biscuits & gravy & chicken fried steak. I asked for the gravy on the side & they did it well. The gravy had veggies on it (green/red diced peppers) & excellent spices w/sausage - one of the best gravy’s I’ve had. The chicken fried steak was well cooked & tasted yummy as well. I would recommend checking this Jen out.

Don't waste your time or money.... My partner and I with our 2 children arrived at opening, hoping for a nice quick breakfast. We were sorely mistaken...

Upon arriving, we entered into the dark space to an employee sitting, eating near the entranceway with his little dog. The man in charge was clearly upset, throwing the chairs off the tables as apparently the morning staff neglected to show up on time. We figured he must be having a rough morning, so decided to give the benefit of doubt. We sat and ordered, and were told the things would need to be prepared to make our meal as things were not ready to go. We replied that we were not rushing, and figured he would be going to get our coffees. Awaiting our order, another couple enters and sits.

The missing morning staff arrives and promptly tends to what appears to be a personal phone call. The couple that just arrived is promptly served their coffees. We've now been sitting for 25 minutes and still no coffee... We watch the couple eat and drink an finally our coffees arrive, he states "They must not have heard when I asked to get coffees over here". He must have been referring to his late and distracted employee.

Shortly after our food arrives, eek... so so salty!!! And smothered in butter. I'd say, not a good experience all around, and the food was just not good. Just save yourself and...

This is not a typical breakfast place. It's small, and partially inside an antique mall -- we sat at a 2-top in the hallway. It looked like there was one cook in the kitchen, one server, and one busser, so definitely a small operation. I ordered the veggie omelette with hashbrowns and rye bread. My spouse had the beans and fried rice, and we ordered a side of gravy (it looked great in photos and we both wanted to try it). The omelette that came out stunned me: an incredibly delicate and light, perfectly cooked, delicious French rolled omelette. The hash browns were thin and crispy, and the dark rye was good, nicely toasted and buttered an appropriate amount. My husband's refried beans and fried rice dish was not like anything we've ever seen on a menu, but the beans were creamy and tasted housemade, the the fried rice had a little browning with a great texture, and was full of egg and breakfast meats. The gravy was also sublime: definitely house made, maybe a little thinner than I'm used to, but dang if it was not some of the most delicious gravy we'd ever tried. The only down note was the coffee, my husband said it tasted (and it smelled) burned. We would have come back the next day but it's closed on Mondays, and we were leaving town that day. It seems like a good breakfast is hard to find, and this place had it. We would be back in...
