On the plus side, the restaurant was clean and well-maintained.
I ordered online tonight (3 large fries and lots of sauces to go with the sandwiches we were making at home). Google ordering said the food would be ready in ten minutes, putting our pickup time at 7:37pm. The email confirmation told me to pick up the order inside at the pickup rack when it was ready. We arrived about five to seven minutes early and I went in the lobby to wait. The female cashier made eye contact with me several times but never spoke. I watched roughly four orders being taken outside to cars but the lobby itself was not busy at all. The pickup time comes and no orders are brought to the pickup rack and still no one speaks to me, even though by this point the cashier had looked at me several times and I made eye contact with a larger man with a mustache. Google was still showing my order was being prepared and there were still no orders on the pickup rack so I figured they were just exceptionally slow tonight.
At 12 minutes after my estimated pickup time, I decide I was going to have to ask about my order. I go up and calmly ask the cashier if she can check on my order and informed her that it said it would be ready 12 minutes ago but was still showing that it was being prepared. She tells me it's been ready and grabs a bag from the counter behind her. I told her she saw me waiting and never spoke to me even though she'd made eye contact several times. Rather than an apology she said "well you never said anything". Excuse me, but do you or do you not work here? Are you or are you not in customer service?
She sees a pickup order. She sees ONE PERSON in the lobby that has been there waiting for over fifteen minutes and it didn't occur to her once to ask me if I had a pickup order?
It didn't occur to anyone to close out the order to so it would show me online that it was ready?
I didn't occur to anyone to put the pickup order on the pickup rack?
And rather than apologize all she can do is blame me because she didn't do her job. And when a larger guy comes over all he can do is make excuses that she's new. No apologies. My now lukewarm fries have been sitting there for who knows how many and you just casually hand them to me like it's no big deal that you didn't handle my order or my presence correctly? Completely...
Read moreI hardly ever eat Zaxbys, but I wanted something different for once. Terrible idea. The line was wrapped around the building and out to the road but parking lot wasn’t full so I went in to order. I waited for 22 minutes after ordering my food. One worker was standing near the kitchen eating and drinking a smoothie while 2 other workers were doing all the cooking. I understand places are short staffed, I really do. No one in that place was working hard or even trying to please customers. They were all extremely rude. The only girl on the register didn’t greet anyone and definitely didn’t smile. At one point the manager told her not to take anymore orders bc they were too short. The girl didn’t even bother to try to tell customers. I ended up telling people for her bc she would just stand there or walk away from the counter while people waited to order. One girl was 4 people ahead of me when I ordered. They called the lady before me then they called my name and we told them that the other lady was way before us. They had put her order in a bag and slid it to the side and never called her name. It had been sitting there for god only knows how long and they just handed it to her like it was nothing. One lady walked up and said she was missing her coleslaw and the girl at the counter said oh we don’t have any. The lady said well I’m sure I paid for it with my meal so do I get money back for the slaw? The girl told her she could have extra fries. The lady had already ordered an extra thing of fries for her toddler. Had she of been properly told that they were out in the first place, she could have ordered extra fries in the place of the slaw and not paid for some for her toddler. And while I’m already ranting, they were also out of tea and many other drinks in the machine. Someone asked for some tea and was told they would refill the container soon and they never did while I was there. This place needs to be wiped out and start fresh, new management and all. And if they can’t find workers, then call the owner and...
Read moreI ordered a 4 finger plate with extra seasoning on the fries, ranch instead of zax sauce and lite ice in the drink (these are all options within the app). Ordered and then went to pick up my meal in the drive thru. At the intercom to order, I waited about 10 min - no response. Got a text saying my order was ready so I stated I just have an online order and I just received the text it’s ready, so I’m just going to pull up. There were only 2 other cars in the drive through at the time. At the pay window, there was some girl that ran from the front who to look at me and my car - my guess is to see who had the audacity to pull forward without their prior permission to do so. More waiting. I get to the second window to get my order (mind you I received the text 10 min prior that my order was ready). The same girl that had time to run back to the first window, told the car in front of me as well as me to pull forward and they’ll bring it out. I say okay and wait some more. I finally get to a point where I’m just going to park and go in so I can ask about the text and all this waiting. I had my dog with me, so this wasn’t ideal but I also didn’t have all day…hence me ordering ahead of time. As soon as I pulled off to park, someone RAN my order out to me like it had been ready the whole time. OF COURSE when I got home it was wrong. My fault for not checking before I left, this particular Zaxbys gets it wrong about 90% of the time. Not an ounce of seasoning on those nasty, mushy fries. Ice to the brim of my soda. No ranch.
Zaxbys is bad in general, so I don’t know why I keep giving it a chance but this particular location is a joke. Expect at a minimum 30 min to get your food and then expect for it to be wrong, because it...
