I wish there were more places like this. While interstate driving can be so inhumane, this shell station and store offers a calm simple clean place to stop rest and refuel. There are not many roadside stores that emphasize quality over quantity but this place does, which makes it a real treasure. Yes, there is a cooler with bottles of soda and some snacks in the store, but freshly ground espresso, homemade-looking baked goods, and quality ice cream are the focus here. That’s what makes this place so refreshing, is the simplicity and focus on a few wholesome refreshments done really well, instead of being chock full of mass-produced syrupy stuff.
