I understand slow service due to a restaurant being busy, but what I do not understand, or quite frankly appreciate, is an extreme attitude from more than one employee.
I pull up to the window to be a woman literally screaming my total at me, not even saying hello or anything else. I inform her I have a coupon for my order and she snatches it out of my hand and huffs at me in an extremely dramatic manner. She comes back and loudly tells me my new total, so I hand her my debit card for her to snatch as well and then just walk away after she puts it in the card reader. Another employee comes up to the window and hands me back my debit card, and when I barely turn away for two seconds to set my debit card down this girl is shaking my drinks at me as if I’m not taking them from her fast enough! I go to get the first one and barely have a grip on it before she lets go, and then grab the second. I again barely have turned away for two seconds to set down the drinks and bags are being shoved into my car window and the girl couldn’t walk away faster if she tried. I asked if that was everything just to be sure and she stops dead in her tracks and just stares at me for a second then says “uh, YEAH” as if I was dumb for even asking her and then she continued walking away.
I’m not asking for much because after all it’s just fast food, but at least maybe teach your employees to be a little more respectful??? I’m sorry that y’all were busy and maybe not having a good day but...
Read more08/23/2024 Drive thru was wrapped inside was open. I go in right at the counter to order and watch the order taker slowly grab every item for an order separately and walk it to the tray 1 by 1. Their manager told them to take my order twice in this 10 mins. I then asked if they are going to be another 5-10 mins as I am in a rush and will pay them $5 to take my order now so I'm in the que. She lifted 10+ online order receipts and said they have so many but I'll go ahead and take your order and then proceeded to go back to prepping other orders for 2 mins so I left.
I worked 4 fast food jobs when I was young and I get it when you are busy and we didn't even really have online orders. But here's the thing if they kept waiting to take my order until they finished fulfilling the online orders I would literally never get my order taken. I think it is more than reasonable after standing there 10 mins to take my order and put me in the que so I don't have to indefinitely wait until online orders are fulfilled. If this is how you treat your dine in guests, just shut down dine in and do drive thru and online orders only cmon. Def under the influence of being hangry after 1st job 830 am no lunch and depending on Wendy's for food before my 2nd job which I got home from at 1 am, no food.
Next time it's drive thru or online order if I go back as they're the only fast food w biggie bag for $5.45, everywhere else is $15-$20 bucks for a...
Read moreWe went and it was busy. I have a family of 5 so it's going to be a big order regardless. I told the cashier that "I am in the food business. I totally understand that you are busy and I am about to have a big order. I am in no rush, so take your time. It's ok!" I then proceeded to order. After the order the back of the house got the ticket and saw the size of the order. They started to panic a bit, but I said the exact thing, a bit louder so they could all hear. I really feel that by speaking the way I did instilled a calmness for everyone, including other customers and they proceeded to turn out my entire order in a correct and timely manner. I got everything and was on my way. I will be back. I know from experience that being pushy and aggressive doesn't help. Cooks can only be responsible for when they STARTED cooking the item. Once started, you can't make it cook FASTER and still have quality. Unfortunately a small portion of society actually express that they know this gem of knowledge!! Most people think yelling...
