Overall Experience
*PROS: Food was worth the 40 mins it took for me to get there. The woman that came from the back after my order was completed, was on it. She was about business and corrected the not so great initial impression I had of the place without her even knowing it. The wait for the food was not long at all. Maybe 15 mins it took, if that. I like that the Soul Food offerings are just enough but not too many options. There are 6 sides and 10 entrees to choose from. The prices are fair. For the 3 meals, I spent $48.97 with tax. Smothered chicken was $16.99, Fried Chicken was $16.99, and Fried Turkey Ribs were $14.99. The drinks were complimentary. They are $5 each.
*CONS: The young man taking the order needs to be trained to have better customer service, but honestly most places today have sub par customer service, which is very disappointing.
The floor was stickier than any floor I’ve ever stepped on in my life, literally. 🤣 And it was actually a Wet Floor sign up. What I found out later was that the young man at the register didn’t mop up a spill correctly, and just spread it. When the woman came from the back, I demonstrated how sticky the floor was, and she IMMEDIATELY got him to go get some hot soapy water and come out to mop it up correctly. AND HE DID, EXPEDITIOUSLY. 😆
🗣️WE NEED YOU GUYS TO GET A WEBSITE FOR THE SOUL FOOD PART, PLUS ADD A MENU TO THE PHOTOS ON GOOGLE MAPS AS WELL. The Instagram videos caught my attention, but when looking you up on here or the website, the soul food aspect is not yet represented.
Even though the space is small, you really could set a vibe with a little bit of decor and music. You guys only need to make a few tweaks to be a really popping spot for some good Soul Food takeout.
So overall score, I would give this place a 8/10. I will definitely make that drive again for the food...
Read moreI decided to go to the Stuffy Dawg off Greenbriar today. I went to the 2nd Stuffy Dawg location in Tucker and the food was absolutely awful smh. Which I thought that maybe the Tucker location was just a bad experience? So I thought maybe this location was better? Since I saw it on IG. I believe in supporting black businesses so I wanted to give it a second chance? Im sorry to say that my 2nd experience wasn't that much better smh. I will say that their presentation was better. However the taste and price wasn't much better either smh. I would've enjoyed a chili dog with everything at Quiktrip? Instead of the food I got at Stuffy Dawg smh. I got a chili dog with cheese, and coleslaw and some nachos on the side. The nacho chips were made with Dorito chips with some chili cheese topping. I thought it was bland and really not good smh. Im very disappointed in Stuffy Dawg and I don't recommend this place if you're looking to get a good hotdog. It was a waste of time to eat something that wasn't worth the price. I paid $19 for that awful food. I wont be returning to this place again. Stuffy Dawg please...
Read moreI went to Da Foodie Spot on a Friday around 3 pm. The restaurant was really clean and I was immediately greeted by Tia, who was really nice. It’s important to note that it is a take out spot. There are a few chairs, but no place to eat.
We ordered the honey lemon pepper wings, chicken rice bowl, shrimp eggroll platter, and the sliders. The honey lemon pepper wings were really flavorful and were costed with a delicious sauce. The chicken rice bowl was my favorite! It was really good. Yellow rice is topped with cheese, chicken, and broccoli. It also had a creamy cajun sauce on top. The shrimp eggrolls were absolutely amazing! It was well seasoned and I think shrimp and broccoli were inside. The sliders are good too. Please note that they are served medium. It comes with lettuce, cheese, and tomato on it. I also got the blue lemonade. You will like it if you like really sweet drinks. I thoroughly enjoyed it and will...
