Rickettes World Famous Chicken fish & Bbq Chicago style — Restaurant in Atlanta

I was heading to a friend's house and decided to get something to eat. I pulled into the shopping plaza and noticed this restaurant for the first time. Being that I love to try new things I decided to pull in and I am now a lifetime customer.

Upon walking in, the establishment is bright, spacious, and very very clean. There were a few staff members up front who all greeted me with a smile and a hearty welcome. The menu has a wide variety of selections and I was excited to start picking. This is the perfect place if no one can decide on one thing. LoL!

While reviewing the menu, the cook happened to be out front packing a plate, he opened the plate and said “how about some Rib Tips?” I don’t know why he did that because not only did the Rib Tips look AMAZING, more so, his approach and delivery added to the already good customer service.

As you can already guess, I ordered a Small Rib Tip Plate along with a dessert option of the Sweet Potato Square.

Rib Tips- The portion of the dinner is more than worth the $12. The tips are extra meaty and tender. The rub that is used really puts the natural Pork flavor at a high level and isn’t too salty. The sauce that is added pairs well with the seasoning blend used and doesn’t overpower the smoke flavor. This is a plate that will have me coming back continuously. Absolutely a 10/10 for Flavor, Value, Tenderness and Hunger Satisfaction.

The Sweet Potato Square puts you in the mind of a slice of pie just as a square. You can tell it’s homemade as the blend of cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, and brown sugar are balanced in a soul pleasing kind of way. This isn’t a square that is made from a general approach, this is made to please all who have the chance to indulge. Absolutely a MUST TRY for my ‘Tato’ Pie (as my grandmother would say) lovers.

If you are in the area and looking for a great meal provided with great service at a reasonable price, you’ve gotta stop...

Visiting my Daughter in ATL and found this place on Yelp. It had good reviews and the food looked good. It did not disappoint. I loved everything about our experience! 1- Very personable and friendly staff (Amira, Levi & we met the owner Mr. Gus in person 😀). I felt valued and wanted as a customer from the entrance until I left with our food. 2- They offer Turkey Tips! I had do put this in there as that alone impressed me. Yes they was tender and tasty & I am not a big Turkey person. It's not that flavorful to me compared to other meats (chicken, beef 😜) 3- We had combos which included: Fried Chicken Wings, Fried Catfish, Turkey Tips, Pork Rob Tips, French Fries, Sweet Potato Pie, a couple of their infused Cakes (Baileys & Rum Chata) (Pictures included) 4- The food was delicious. It was seasoned perfectly. Not too salty but good flavor to let you know it has "soul" in it. The Frying was done well. The skin was light with a great crisp. The tips was tender & flavorful. The home-made sauce they make takes the flavors over the top. It's sweet-tang with a hint of spice. The infused cupcakes was moist and full of flavor. Sweet Potato pie was rich and full of flavor. It's make ya wanna slap ya Mama food. This is some finger licking good food!!! 5-Prices are good. You get lots of food for the cost. Mr. Ricketts you've done it right. This place is a must visit that won't break your pockets but leave ya very satisfied....

When I say the best turkey rib tip I’ve ever could imagine, since I no longer eat beef or pork I have been visiting them they usually have great customer service. Yesterday I visit the location and spent over $40 on turkey tips which was not the problem the problem came in when I asked for a extra bag due to me having to drop my significant other his dinner off at work. When the lady was bagging up my food I asked her could she put it in 2 separate bag she proceeded to still put them all in one bag so I thought she didn’t hear me and I repeated it again the lady in the back who was fixing the food yelled out “she can’t” you ordered your food Together we have to put them in the same bag cause we short on bags. I replied Huh she said yea we can’t do that. SMH in disbelief after spending $40 on two plates of turkey tips I was told I only can get one bag. That made me not want to ever go back. Now I had to drop his food off in a bag and ride with my food outside the bag home. I wasn’t going to write a review untill I got home and the sauce from the turkey tip was on my seat. That pissed me off as a frequent customer I couldn’t get a extra bag and I had sauce all over my seat is giving I won’t b returning...
