Grant Park Coffeehouse is truly a little gem. It is a one-of-a-kind nook that is welcoming to both neighbors and newcomers, both adults and kids, both coffee-lovers and all you others. We described it as your neighborhood, corner coffee shop but it has some kind of pizzazz that keeps it from falling into a single defined category.
Atmosphere- This is the most family friendly of any cafe I've ever visited. The vibe once you step inside is playful: The large chalkboards that feature the days many drink and food choices are colorful, the small interior with large windows is cozy, and the wifi password is "ice-cream" in honor of this popular menu addition. With the upbeat music and a sunny day Grant Park Coffeehouse is sure to lift anyone's spirits.
Coffee- Great tasting coffee that comes from a provider known as "Dean's Beans." Not too sure what that's all about but it's a NorthEastern company so maybe it's more known up there. On the day we went they were brewing an Ethiopian and a Papua New Guinea, both to my liking.
Service-The staff was nice, friendly, and helpful. There's table service if you order something from their breakfast and lunch offerings. No complaints here!
Location- The location is directly across from Grant Park and Zoo Atlanta so there is much to see if you want to set out on foot. It's literally on the corner under a building, making it the corner cafe. The location lends the coffee shop almost a retreat feel, perfect if you ever need to get away from traffic and city noise.
Legitimacy- The menu is vast serving everything from well executed espresso to King of Pops. They cater so the food must be a hit, and fresh to say the very least. I had a scone that blew Highland Bakery's out of the water (sry). And it's popular in the area--On my way to Grant Park Coffeehouse I actually got a little turned around and to my surprise the first person I asked for help told me to follow her because she was headed there at that very moment!
Once you find the coffee shop you'll want to stay for a while and it's highly likely you come for a...
Read moreWent in to buy a egg sandwich on Texas Toast with a Orange Juice yesterday 5-15-2022. The sandwich was $4 and some change and the rather small Orange Juice was $2.50 because it was allegedly freshly squeezed, however because the total cost was $8.08 I asked the lady I believe to be the owner how she arrived at $8.08 to which she said I was being charged for the location and inflation to which I replied is that going to be reflected on my receipt? Needless to say that lady lost her mind saying I don’t have to eat there and yelling for her young male employee to call security which he did and she proceeded to slow down the process of refunding my money while attempting to get me to respond to her as negatively, unprofessionally and ultimately as racially provocative as she had by literally threatening to shoot me if I ever came back into to her place right in front of the Security guard and her young male and female employee, to which I immediately told the Security Guard I wanted to file a complaint for her threatening my life, to which he basically just laughed and ushered me toward the door. Please note needless to say I am a black man that simply questioned this ladies creative math tactics designed for nothing more than to arbitrarily take unfair advantage of the majority of her patrons!!! The young lady that worked for her and the Security Guard were also Black. I was so upset that I completely forgot about helping the young homeless lady. And I’m still agonizing about filing a police report because they don’t take our complaints serious either more often than not. I will however continue to pursue this matter because in the words of the President just this morning regarding the racially motivated shooting in Buffalo, “there can be no safe haven...

Truly amazing all around. You will NOT pay exorbitant prices for teeny, tiny servings. You will get real value.
Our family of four stumbled in on a Sunday morning after a Saturday night in a nearby Airbnb. We were hungry, tired, and in need of coffee.
I felt sure my extremely needy family would give Grant Park a run for its money (and probably leave them side-eyeing us and cheering our exit), but even as we amassed a massive order of breakfast burritos, cheese grits, pancakes and the like, the servers at GPC seemed ready and undaunted.
For how much food and coffee we ordered, the staff got our items out nice and quickly.
The food was incredible. My fam will usually find something to grumble about (perhaps you can relate), but each of the four of us were delighted with our bites. I highly recommend getting the breakfast burrito and then putting a small scoop of cheese grits on each bite of the burrito. It was an incredible way to start the day!
The staff was super nice and smiley. They checked on us at a perfect level of attentiveness. And they contributed to a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.
10 out 10 for GPC. Visit this sweet respite from the traffic and high cost of everything else in Atlanta. We are going back a second time...
