Very nice people but this was my second time going there. Walk in there they have old bell peppers, mushrooms etc with mold on them. The first time I just thought the food was display until I seen them get the veggies from there. Since I wasn’t ordering nothing that had mold on it I proceeded to buy. Food was good the first time. So I wanted seafood and was in the area and the place I normally go to where I live was closed. So I stopped there same thing seen the same veggies not sure if it was the same ones but it still was bell pepper and mushrooms looking old. This time the fish looked old so I asked is this food fresh the lady said yes I said well those bell peppers and mushrooms and the perch fish looks old. She stated that she will remove the veggies and that the fish is fresh. So I ordered 1lbs of shrimp corn broccoli and potato along with perch potato corn and broccoli. Got home to eat the corn taste sour and I couldn’t even eat the rest of my food. So basically I wasted the money I paid for the food due to the corn being sour. I called to let them know that the corn was sour and they may need to cook them one so they can see that the food is old. Customer service they are great very sweet people but I don’t think I will return because the food isn’t fresh. Tried to go back the second time and it proved that the food wasn’t fresh. Maybe they not getting enough customers and the food is going to waste. But they may need to start purchasing their food small quantity at a time because someone going to get real sick from eating old food and that’s not good to come in our community selling us old food especially when we are spending money. No matter if they are spending ebt or cash they are spending to purchase food. Maybe the health department or agriculture Needs to do a pop up from time to time to make sure they are serving fresh food and not old food. Only reason I gave 2 stars instead of one is because customer...
Read moreI spent $200 at LT New Orleans Seafood at their pop-up shop at the Duluth night market, and it was an absolute waste of money. The blue crab legs were spoiled. The meat was mushy and clearly not fresh. The crawfish had zero seasoning, and the oyster Rockefeller was disgusting. Nothing we ordered was worth what we paid.
I informed them that the crab legs were bad, and LT Seafood admitted to having a bad batch. While they did offer to remake them the next day, I couldn't justify spending that much, traveling out there again, and wasting more time and gas to go back. If you knew the crabs were bad, why not just offer a full refund? That would have been the right thing to do.
To be clear, I do not believe the other food was spoiled like the crab legs, but it was completely bland and disappointing. Honestly, I do not think they can keep the seafood at a safe temperature outside in 100-degree heat. Maybe I should have gone to the actual store instead of trying them at the night market, but still — $200 is a lot of money to waste on bad seafood.
I really wanted to like this place. I was ready to give it five stars. It is just...
Read moreI have been going to LT New Orleans Seafood restaurant for years and have been highly recommending them to friends and anyone else who would listen because the employees there were always very kind and very professional and the food was great.
But today I visited the restaurant and 2 things happened that guaranteed I will never go there again and I will stop sending people there. I just reported them to the Department of Health.
It was a terrible experience because: I ordered shrimp and I found a live roach was under one of the shrimp. It was on its back with its feet moving. There was a different man working there and he was not friendly at all and he starting yelling at this elderly female customer in a wheel chair. She never raised her voice or anything and she just left. He was so rude to her.
The roach was enough to make me stop going and the rudeness of this worker also had a huge impact. Lastly, I just noticed that another customer reported on this same site that a roach was in their crab legs. We need to be more diligent about where we eat. This is surely not the place!
Please see the...
