There once was a time when I would have raved about how good Mustard Seed ribs tasted. Sadly, I can no longer say that. I just picked up my rib sandwich order, and when I got home (I'm about 3.5 miles away), I opened my order and I could NOT be more disappointed! The "ribs" looked as though they were cooked 2 weeks ago and they tasted even worse. They were dry and simply disintegrated when I bit into one of the "ribs." They were charred and totally lacked flavor (aside from the flavor of charred). I immediately called, only to have the number listed for them, roll over to a voice mailbox that was too full to leave a message voicing my complaint. Since it is during business hours, I called again. I now have called five times in the last 30-45 minutes and each time, my call rolls over to their voicemail, so I am unable to leave a message. I am now getting dressed to take my order back and get my refund of $16.24.
To make matters worse, the cashier and the person preparing the orders were involved in a heated exchange and I had to wait until they took a break in their spat before I could even place an order. I understand that co-workers can sometimes have disagreements, but in front of a customer, especially when I am the only customer in the business??? Unacceptable! I should have taken that as a clue and left, but y'all, I REALLY had a taste for ribs, so I ignored my gut instinct and stayed. That proved to be THE wrong decision. I have been a loyal customer of Mustard Seed, since they were located on Metropolitan Avenue in Atlanta's West End. Because of this and my experience on a previous visit (the one before this one), I can no longer recommend their food and certainly not...
Read moreOrdered through Doordash. We ordered the half slab, half chicken combo. It comes with to large sides. I think these people just given up on making complimentary food. Eeeewww. The half slab was short a bone; was not seasoned (at all); overcooked and dry and old as heck. The chicken was old and dried out, with skin like jerky. The drum of the chicken wing was not there. The baked beans were soupy, (definitely not baked). The sliced pieces of loaf bread was floppidy, and tasteless. I remembered; "I've had this bread yuck before," It's sold at Aldi. The bread is called; L'oven Fresh Bread. Most disgusting bread I have ever bought. I have no problem with off-brand, so long as it's good and decent. I will never buy from here again. I don't want to waste money on, "don't care food." Only thing that was good, was the...
Read moreOKAY I'M SORRY BUT THE GUY THAT WAS AT THE FRONT WHEN I CAME IN WAS SUPER RUDE. WHY NOT SPEAK TO PEOPLE WHEN THEY WALK IN THE DOOR OR AT LEAST ACKNOWLEDGE THEM WITHIN ABOUT A MINUTE OR SO? YOU LOOKED RIGHT AT ME AND DID NOT EVEN SPEAK. THIS IS THE TYPE OF RESTAURANT I WOULD NOT EVEN BOTHER COMING TO BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT RESPECTFUL OF THEMSELVES OR THE CUSTOMERS. HOW DARE YOU TREAT PEOPLE IN SUCH A WAY! ALSO SAID THAT MY ORDER WAS READY FOR PICKUP AND WHEN I GOT HERE THE ORDER WAS NOT READY WHICH I UNDERSTAND THINGS HAPPEN BUT HE ACT LIKE HE DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO OR SOMETHING. YOU NEED TO LET ME KNOW THAT THE ORDER IS BEING PREPARED AND IT'LL BE RIGHT OUT AND ALSO GIVE ME ETA OR SOMETHING. WHAT...
