Vegan Wangs has mastered the art of plant-based wings, delivering a taste experience that will make any wing enthusiast forget they're eating vegan. As a former hot wing lover, I approached their menu with high expectations - and they exceeded every single one of them. I indulged in their 12-piece combo with fries, exploring three distinct flavors: Sweet Thai Chili, Mango Habanero, and Buffalo. Each sauce profile was perfectly executed, with the Mango Habanero striking an ideal balance between fruity sweetness and fiery heat. The Buffalo sauce captured that classic wing flavor I remembered and craved, while the Sweet Thai Chili offered a delightful Asian-inspired twist. Yes, there was a bit of a wait for my order, but let me tell you - every second spent anticipating these wings was absolutely worth it. The moment that box of perfectly sauced vegan wings landed in my hands, I knew I'd found something special. The texture is spot-on, and the generous portions leave you completely satisfied. What adds to the experience is the wonderful atmosphere and the owner's genuine warmth and politeness. You can feel the passion they have for creating amazing vegan alternatives, and it shows in both the food quality and service. For anyone transitioning to veganism who misses their wing fix, or just anyone looking for incredibly tasty vegan food - Vegan Wangs is an absolute must-visit. As a new regular, I can confidently say these wings have filled a void I didn't even realize needed filling in my vegan journey. The combination of outstanding food, welcoming environment, and friendly service has earned them a spot in my weekly rotation. This isn't just a substitute for traditional wings - it's a destination that stands proudly on its own merits, proving that plant-based alternatives can be just as satisfying, if not more so, than their conventional...
Read moreI found out about this spot from a random post on Instagram, the content creator gave it all 10’s and advised that it’s a ’must check out.’ I live in the south suburbs of Atlanta, so today when I was driving from the north suburbs back home, I saw the Cascade exit on 285 and immediately thought of Vegan Wangs, so an immediate exit was a must. The detour, about 15 minutes through Cascade Rd traffic, was worth it. The spot was spotless and with a no contact transaction which gave it a modern feel in the middle of an old skool neighborhood. The friendly staff onsite was there to guide me if I needed any assistance or had questions about the process or menu. I ordered the mild ‘wangs’ with fries then proceeded to my car as the order was being prepared. After about a 10 minute wait, I received notification that the ‘wangs’ were ready. Upon retrieving my order, staff gave me a courtesy ranch dressing which I appreciated. The plan was to sneak a taste here and there as I was driving back Southside -I bit a small piece of the sizzling wang and was immediately hooked. The taste lingered on my tongue and my taste buds wanted more. I easily devoured one wang before starting the car. The ‘wangs’ are the the best alternative to actual wings that I’ve ever had, it gave me an authentic taste of an oyster mushroom with savoring sauce which definitely quenched my wing desires. The fries were seasoned to perfection and were definitely a flavorful add on. I had to run back in the restaurant to let the staff know that the ‘wangs’ were the ‘thang’ and also to purchase a lemon ginger drink for the ride home. From the atmosphere, to the customer service, to the food, this spot is definitely worth the detour no matter where you’re coming from...
Read moreI visited about 2 weeks ago for the first time.... I'm late completing my review.... But I won't forget that the attendant (boss man) was very friendly.
But for a Sunday I suggest having 1 more person to help with orders, communication of readiness and being able to answer client questions. I personally am very patient.... Yet I know the majority of people are not .... This is from my own restaurant experience and from the few individuals I saw inside the restaurant while I was waiting. Also, the fact that I could have received 20% off should have been mentioned since I was very open on this all. Yet I believe we will be back.....bc lie I said he was cool but most of all THE FOOD WAS AMAZING!!! Yes we ordered both type of wings .... The 5 piece SEITAN (See-Tan) AND the 10ct Oyster Mushrooms wings ..... Both with fries.... And they were still delicious when we hit home....
Well worth it ... Now the dressers (I ordered the candy bar and the cookie).... That cookie should be $1.50 and the candy bar no more than $2.50.... but hey. And the ginger ale was tasty.....
Anywho.
It's definitely worth trying for yourself.... I'm now making my own SEITAN, but when it's the weekend.... I'm coming here.... That BBQ sauce and the sweet chili were delicious..... The jerk sauce for the oyster mushrooms was on the side.... I actually ended using it in my homemade chickpea salad. Tasty!
Ok. Oh parking is in a lot...pretty close to the street....so be careful leaving the corner ... and there isn't a public restroom. It's small inside... Only Takeout!
And it was plenty of food between me and my 6yr...
