So, me and a group of friends heard about this restaurant and checked out their menu online and made a reservation for Saturday, February 16th for 10am. We were running late due to traffic and called ahead to let them know & they said they could move our reservation to 10:30pm which we greatly appreciated versus having to cancel. We arrived and were seated about 15 minutes after arrival. A waiter told us their name and brought back some menus and gave us a few minutes to choose our food and drinks. The main reason we all came to the restaurant was for the shrimp boil for $9 which is advertised online on their menu, however the waiter told us that their menu on their website has items they do not sell anymore. We were very frustrated as this menu item was our whole reason for coming to this restaurant and it is also a featured item on their homepage, complete false advertising. I asked the waiter since their website is inaccurate, could they still make it as they have all the ingredients needed and he told me no they can't. So I decided to go with the gulf shrimp. Now, as seen from their online menu, this item is priced at $10 1/2 a lb of shrimp. I asked the waiter did this come with a side and he said the menu items minus the small plates come with one side. When my order arrived, I had 5 pieces of shrimp and red potatoes. They also serve $5 shots of Hennessey, which did not appear to have been a shot at all, but that was the least of my worries. So after ordering our food and drinks, it took about 25 minutes before we received our drink order and then another 20 minutes before we received our food. I had to call the kitchen from our table to let them know where we were sitting and that we were still waiting on our orders and we felt completely forgotten about. My order was the Gulf shrimp and potatoes, one of my friends had wingettes, another had the pasta with shrimp or chicken, and the other the catfish strips. None of our orders reflected the pricing on their website, of which I showed the waiter, and he would not have a manager to review the matter, he simply told us that we ordered from their menu in the facility so there's nothing he can do about what their website reflects/advertises. As a person who works in customer service, this reflected poorly on the company and their employees to not try and be accommodating of something that was THEIR error or to have a manager come and address a patron's concern. We were very unhappy about this experience. My total bill came to $12 for 5 gulf shrimp (advertised on their website as $10 for 1/2 a lb.) and $6 for a small side of red potatoes ….clearly he misinformed me as I was charged for my "meal" and side. My friend paid $14 for the wingettes (advertised as $9 for 8 wings online). The catfish strips were $10 versus the $8 pricing online, and as for the pasta I am unsure of what the price was. Needless to say, we were given very poor customer service and asked to speak with a manager on that evening but was not given the opportunity. I felt it necessary to leave a review as I was very unhappy on my first and last visit to...
Read moreThe GOOD: This WAS THE BOMB!!!!!! Their shrimp fried rice was the bomb!!!!!! Their muscles were THE BEST I EVER TASTED., Their shrimp n grits weren't all that good but man them muscles were turn around in a circle jumping up and down with the holy-ghost good!!! But anyway back to the Muscles... That creamy buttery sauce they used on them muscles make you literally want to eat the durn shells...lol! The waitresses were good. If you're apart of the lgbt community they seem to employ and attract that crowd as well. There were a couple of us there yesterday evening. The Ambiance of this place in the inside is BEAUTIFUL....WHOMEVER DID THE DESIGN/DECORATING ON THIS PLACE, REALLY OUT DID THEMSELVES......IT IS BEAUTIFUL!!!! I literally felt like I was at home chillin except in much more glamour. The flat screens are there, the big comfy chairs, the big tables, (and the tables don't lean and shake to the side every time you sit your arm or your drink down, they have all of their pieces, real talk.) You really feel like you're in a VIP setting.
The Small things: The shrimp and grits were just not very good...period..they are an extremely small portion for $12.00. It's a baby bowl of shrimp n grits with just 4 shrimp and the cream sauce on top wasn't that kick I was expecting and normally get with shrimp n grits at other places. Frank Ski's Restaurant & Lounge Lounge (Now called Elleven 45) had the best Shrimp n grits in Atlanta. The waitresses were great overall. Besides our waitress not really checking on us enough, and spilling one of our drinks. This other waitress kept having to deliver messages for us to our waitress....she spilled my drink on the table, she apologized but when she cleaned up the mess she didn't bring me another drink and she cleaned it up with the only couple napkins we had at the table, never brought us any more napkins, and then asked us if we were ready to order. She put the same drink down on the table as if it was re-fillable (but its not, its alcohol, every amount counts when you're seeking a buzz.) I'm not really a drinker so I let it go but you would agree that she could stand to be trained a little further, but other than that, this place is definitely an experience you should have if you're looking for a great place to take a date, or just to chill. They need to add some restroom signs, it was annoying to keep asking where is the restroom, which door is it? Save time and buy a couple of signs. The sink knob in the first...
Read moreVisited on 3/10/15 around 3pm. The place was full. It's small so around 14 people were there. The service was seat yourself so we sat at a small table against the wall. We waited to see if a waitress would come but noticed after about 5min that only the bartender was working with no waitresses. I thought maybe I could get a drink from the bar while we waited so I walked to the bar. Before I could say anything the bartender rudely blurted out 'I'm the only one working I'll be with you soon'. I thought that she thought I was coming to her about coming to the table so I tried to tell her again that I just wanted a drink and before I could finish the sentence she said again loudly and more stern 'I know what you want, I'm the only one working like I said I will be with you in a min'. At that point I went back and sat at the table and told my fiance. We decided to leave bc of her and the embrassment I felt after the way she was talking to me in front of other customers. We got no greeting, and then we were rudely talked to bc they were short staffed. Most places would say we apologize for the wait, but we will be with you without interruption of a customer. I won't be back in there and will definitely let others in Atlanta know, bc this was very unprofessional and hurtful. They Definitely need to make sure their customer service is on point bc word of mouth is...
