It's almost heartbraking for me to write this review, but after my last experice I felt I had to. When I say growning up, visiting this Piccadilly location was almost like fine dinning. I am not sure why, but when my family came here, it was like we was doing sumthing.
I remember the servers all smiling, and lined up as you go down the line, pointing out everything that was hot and ready to go. The only way I can explain it was like this was "Putting on the Ritz" type eating.
I thought I would take my grand daughter here so that she might experice that fine dinning move her away from the fast food, she so loves.
It was anything but. Yes the resturant looks same, but everything had changed.
As I went down the line, the food didn't look as fresh as I remembered. It looked like there were only 3 people serving the line. Now I get it, parts of the experices is self serve. But I recall there being someone at each section of the line. Not any more.
I got to one section (vegtables) and found two older ladies seem to be having a conversation; and regardless of me standing there, whatever they seem to be talking about, had to be talked about. So I waitied.
Once I was reconized, just then...And Amber Alert hit everones phone, and I was told "Oh I am sorry, I got to check this, somebody bady done been stolen!". So I waited again.
You see, somehow this lady was going to be able to read the message and contribute something to the rescue of the child even standing being this line at Piccadilly's.
She then tells me that she had to check it "Because it could be your child out there missing!" No it couldn't...my child is right here with me.
Next stop, the chasier. And what do you know, I am still awaiting somebody to stop doing what they are doing to notice I am standing there.
As I order, my grand wanted the chicken fingers, of witch had not been ready. But I was told It would be up and ready by the time I get to my table.
And then 20 min later, no chicken fingers.
I was given a refund, and I think they understood how crazy this was. But it was sad to see such a great place run so bad.
I felt like there was nothing left of my time growing up. The Mall was already dead, but I thought Piccadilly...
Read moreThis is a restaurant I grew up going to down in Florida with my mom, this was a treat, we would go shopping at the mall and then have the best lunch ever. This was 40 plus year ago. We have found a few here in Georgia..... but we stopped at the Greenbriar location after a wonderful weekend viewing the Van Gough exhibit. We have to walk all through the mall, because the outside location was not visible, my mom is now 80 yrs old. We almost turned around, in hindsight we should have, as there was a huge party in front of us, we sat in line for 10 minutes and then to top that off, some of the "party" decided to skip the line.... 10 minutes later, we finally start moving there is a limited menu, there was no fish,a 10 minute wait... I asked if the mashed potatoes under the pork chop were real potatoes, she said she didn't know, how can you work at a restaurant and not know if they are real or instant, I did get the Mac n cheese and green bean casserole. We get to the checkout and there are no silverware, I ask " Felicia " the cashier, she said the waitress will give them to us. We go sit down, there is no waitress anywhere. I wait still no waitress, I go back up, and Felicia yells at me....i finally see the waitress in another room, ah there are silverware, I grab two and proceed to my table to eat..... the porkchop was slightly warm and very dry, the Mac n cheese literally had no flavor at all, no cheese at all except for one bite on top. We will not be back to this...
Read moreWent to this restaurant for the first time. I like that you get to pick your own foods cafeteria style. I don't like the fact that you can't see the menu and prices before you get your tray. I was not thrilled when I saw the prices of the entrees. The food isn't expensive it's just that for what I paid for I expected better and larger sides. I got the chicken tenders, mashed potatoes and gravy along with the broccoli salad. The salad was okay, the tenders were barely warm and the mashed potatoes were both cold and slightly warm in some areas. The gravy was slightly warm. The food tasted okay, nothing that I had was salty which is good. My daughter had the fruit salad, green salad, pasta salad, Nashville hot chicken with macaroni and cheese. The fruit salad was warm and fruit was hard and not ripe. The green salad was not cold. The pasta salad was too vinegary, we could not finish it. The chicken and macaroni tasted okay but was chewy and we're barely warm. My mother in law had the fried chicken breast, mashed potatoes and green salad. Her food was also barely warm. Needless to say I wasn't impressed and this place is a food poisoning haven waiting to happen with the lack of adequate food temps of their food. The servers, cashiers and lady cleaning up the table and serving the napkins were all nice. The dining room seemed...
