This was my first time here, so it’s important to note that I don’t have an experience dining in or receiving an order via third party. I ordered my food at the counter and ended up carrying out since I wasn’t given the option to dine in by the cashier.
Atmosphere: The restaurant looked like it was in the middle of being rearranged. There are several incomplete areas like a tea/herb apothecary and a several refrigeration cases that seem to be out of service. The aesthetic is what you would expect, clean visuals with green accents/plants. I didn’t notice a sign for a bathroom, but I’d imagine they have one since they have a dine in set-up. The monitors for the menu were not working properly and they seemed to have issues with the lights coming on and off. I think the space is cute but it seems like they need to direct their focus a bit more, finish one task/area before moving onto another. Printed menus would have been nice and probably would cut down on their power bill. They also have a card only order kiosk, which seems excessive for the volume of walk-ins they receive.
Ordering process: I ordered with a cashier. He was pleasant and answered questions. He seemed to be having issues with the POS and had to re-enter my order a few times. There were several product unavailabilities and some surprising items not on the menu - for example they were out of cabbage and also did not carry rye for the Reuben.
Food: The food took a long time to come out. I ordered two sandwiches that came with sides (chips and dip) and was sitting for about 30 mins. I expected the wait time to be closer to 15 minutes, and am glad that I didn’t have any obligations/had the ability to wait an unspecified amount of time (was not given a wait time at the counter).
The food itself was a disappointing. I feel like it really embodied the need for the vegan restaurant scene in Atlanta to look at its non-vegan competition. I am vegan, I am not rich. I paid over $30 for two undersized sandwiches that were paired with very generic, very salty circular tortilla chips and dip (very reminiscent of chips and queso at a sporting event). I’m honestly really upset. I want to find places that I can refer my friends to.
The flavor of the food was pretty good and measured up against non-vegan spots, but the price was too much - the value was way under expectation. If I ate meat/animal products I could have gotten a much larger set of sandwiches for half the price - that understanding is what keeps me buying groceries and making food at home. Not a great sign when the convenience of dietary accommodation out and about still doesn’t outweigh eating at home.
So what would I like to see to come back/continue to be a customer?
Full availability of products listed on the menu, lights staying on, printed menus, cut down on the random stuff in the dining area unless it’s actually finished/R4C, lower prices and/or larger portion sizes (cut down on menu size and get some redundancy of products to cut overhead/materials cost), and please get rid of those tortilla chips - truly I would rather no side and a cheaper sandwich or a drink instead.

Read moreRHW serves food and has tea and other items for purchase. It’s convenient, they are located right of off 20 and have free parking, although there are limited spots since there are other businesses in the shopping center. On this visit my friend and I shared a truffle lobsta sandwich on rosemary focaccia for $17, TunaH Melt on sourdough for $16, tortilla chips with queso and tortilla chips with guacamole were added on to each sandwich at no additional charge. Two cinnamon sorrel drinks at $6.
The service was great! The place was clean but very warm for a hot Spring day. The tables are all high top and not very comfortable so I probably would get my meal to go next time. The food was made to order and everything tasted very fresh.
The Lobsta had a light and fresh taste but in my personal opinion was missing a spice. It was good but not amazing. Now on the other hand the TunaH Melt was out of this world Amazing, I can’t wait to visit again and place an order for this sandwich. The cinnamon sorrel had too much cinnamon that did not make the juice enjoyable to drink. The queso and quac were both delicious but a very small portion.
Overall, I enjoyed my meal and plan on returning to try additional items. Even if you’re not a vegan you’ll enjoy...
