Hey now!!! I’ve been loyal to American Deli for too long to count but Urban Wings has me questioning my loyalty!!
Super hungry and had just missed Chik Fil A’s breakfast time; I was a bit attitude-ish. I was at the light at Glenwood and Moreland when I glanced to my left and saw a “Now Open” sign! Why not? (Apparently they had just opened the day prior)
I walked in and was the only customer inside. A young gentleman at the counter politely greeted me. He had great customer service. I tried to not order everything I saw because A. It’s the first time and B. They are a tad pricey.
Nonetheless my inner fat girl prevailed and I ordered more than I should have lol. But it was truly all delicious!!
No matter where I go, I’m usually going to try the cheese sticks. I got the 4 piece. They had a little flavor, I didn’t HAVE to use the marinara sauce but I chose to. Sauce and sticks will be gotten again. On to the Chick Philly! Boy o boy! Packed with flavor! Each bite contained joy. I don’t eat mayo but even still my Philly wasn’t dry. Loved it. Getting it again too. Hot Lemon Pepper Wings- not hot as I’d like them but still good. Wings- here is my only complaint- they’re stingy with the fries!! I expected a lil bit more than what you see in the picture.
All in all this...
Read moreI came to Atlanta for a few days of work and thought I'd try what Atlanta is known for. Mostly wings. If I were to base ATL wings on this one experience, I would be doing a disservice to all the other wing shops around town. I have never, ever seen wings this small. Probably should be somewhat ashamed to present a customer a product like this... And because they were so small they were overcooked and dry. You know, like jerky. Kinda detracts from whatever redeeming flavors you may have had. Wasn't even mad really. After I sat there stunned in my car, I just smiled and laughed. Wait till the guys see this. We all had a laugh at your expense. It was at least entertaining as it was definitely not filling... barely edible.
On the outside you look like a national chain. Nice signage, video menu boards and the decor to match. Then you bring me out..., oh,I don't know.... slightly flavored pigeon wings with all the personality of a cardboard box. Not really representing the ATL wing community that otherwise seems to take a lot of pride in their wings....
Read moreSuper disappointing experience almost every time. First time I went a few months back it was really good. Great flavors, lots of choices, easy pickup.
I've gone maybe 4-5 times after that and its never been good again. For the price tag, you'd expect more but its always soggy fries, underwhelming and under sauced wings. Lets not forget that their "spicy" meters are far from correct. I got the 4th spiciest level and it was mild at best.
Not to mention that the size of the fries has gotten smaller and smaller with the combo. You can see in the attached picture - I barely got any. For almost 20$, you think it would be a full meal?
Worst part about ordering is the timing. I don't think you should pay $20 for takeout and have the pickup window setup incorrectly. Last time the site told me it would take 30min to complete. I went in after 20 minutes. It had clearly been sitting there a while and my food was cold.
There are better options for this price tag in Atlanta. Really disappointing because they COULD be good - they just dont have the...
