Vic & Anthony's Steakhouse — Restaurant in Atlantic City

First time in for dinner! I did the happy hour about a year ago and it was good. I don’t usually write reviews out since I work in the industry! but tonight I had such a bad experience that I had to do it! Tonight I decided to treat my fiancé to a birthday dinner experience at Vicks & Anthony since it was our first time dining here and I got said it was the worst dining experience we ever had in all my years of dining out. We ordered our appetizers. They came out on time and were ok. We waited for our dinner’s a filet and a seafood pasta for about 45 min. Waitress came and apologized for the deleted. Ones we got our dinner’s the filet came out over cook! So we turned back. Waitress came back and apologized saying the Maneger was adware of the situation and was going to bring out our filet back in 5 min that turned into 20 min till the point where we weren’t hungry anymore and give up!! What was supposed to be a special night turned into a nightmare. With the filet we ordered the sea salt fries that came out cold as well as the pasta. Maneger Spanish young man! came apologized and said after all the filet will take another 2 min😳🤦🏽‍♀️ at this point we were ready to walk out. I ask for the check! They took off the steak filet and the birthday dessert 😂 🤦🏽‍♀️. customer service means everything! And this will be our first and last experience at this place! Any steak house around here will beat this place on their worse day!! Not to mention that the server was more concerned about her tip on the check than the poor service we had experience!! Mine was a mixed experience. Booked a table 2 months in advance. My first visit and all the other members of my party had been here before. We arrived at the desk and it seemed to take awhile to find the reservation. I asked the hostess if it was there and she barely acknowledged me. We were then taken to the aisle seating section outside of the restaurant space. I couldn't believe it. This is an overflow section. We told the hostess the table wasn't acceptable. We has to go back to the desk. We were then seated in the backroom. Nice space, well appointed with just the right music. Ok. The table conversation immediately started off about how stupid the kids are at the front desk. Not the best first impression. The pleasant Wait Staff helped change the subject.

The filet and sides weren't any more exceptional than what I would prepare at home. Rave worthy for a dinner party but not topnotch. I ordered the night's special a filet that had blue cheese topping mashed and spinach. I ordered the Crab Oscar topping too. Our waiter explained the additional sauce as a Bernaise with crab, which sounded perfect. Maybe I should have tasted the Bernaise before putting some on my file My filet had so much blue cheese it overwhelmed every other flavor on my plate and I love Blue Cheese. But having this much blue cheese dumped on top of a filet was not the work I expect at these prices. They need to learn how to make a proper topping

So I had been sitting at a table alone during happy hour eating and drinking. I had to use the restroom. I asked my server where it was and she showed me that it was outside of the restaurant on the casino floor. I instructed her to not allow anyone to sit in my seat because i'd be right back; she said "okay, no problem."

As I was returning from the restroom, I see three gentlemen leaving the restaurant to come look for me. Speculation, maybe, but you know what's happening when it's happening because the one younger gentleman, when he saw me, he looked down at the floor because he felt stupid to see that I was returning.

You can say what you want but I know for a fact that had I been another race/ethnicity I would not have been pursued in the way that I was and would have been given the opportunity of having enough time to return from the restroom. I literally urinated, washed my hands, and returned...
