I have been to Atlantis Grill and Bar a few times and always considered it an upscale place. I love the atmosphere and have always been satisfied with the food and service. Tonight's meal however has changed my opinion my son and I sat down to have a guys night. We started with an appetizer and I had a margarita. The margarita tasted like mop water so after 1 sip I asked for another without continuing further, the next came and tasted the same so I not wanting to complain further gave up and just drank it. For dinner I order a filet and my son a chicken as the food came to the table an off smell was in the air my son mentioned it and I thought nothing of it as I cut into my filet which was perfectly cooked and delicious. My son complaint to me that his chicken smelled funky, I told him to just eat his fries and continued to eat my food as I got to my loaded potato I cut into it and was instantly disgusted by the smell after smelling the potato, I took a whiff of my son's chicken and it smelled the same. I called over my waitress more concerned about what I was served than the bill, she address my issue as if I were a pauper looking to get one over on someone instead of a customer who had just been served something off. Without even attempting to smell my son's foul chicken or my foul potato she proceeded to tell me we have been serving this same thing all night and you are the first to complaint. Not looking for a fight I just asked for the check with her $20 cash tip on the table. When my check was presented to me was included my first mop water margarita of which I had taken one sip. Without further complain I paid and left with my $20 tip having learn a valuable lesson about the customer service I should...

Our first impressions of warm surroundings with white tablecloths faded quickly. Our server was multitasking throughout our meal; she was distracted and indifferent. She apparently had a lot on her plate: answering the phone, distributing take-out, and other tasks. This place means well, but the staff appeared disorganized without a set routine in place.

The food was good but not that hot, and quite small portions for what we expect in the US. The “surf and turf” priced at $30.50 was only 2 skewers of five shrimps, and four 1” pieces of sirloin tips on an oblong plate to make the entree appear larger, which is wasn’t. The food was more like you’d find at a take-out Greek restaurant for $15.

The set-up of this establishment appears past its prime: is it a bar or is it a restaurant? We had reservations and we were seated at a booth for two, close to the front doors: only a glass on the wall above our booth separated our “supposedly cosy dining table” from the bar—from which noisy people, who sat at a bar on stools, looked down at our table as were we’re eating. Not quite the quiet dining for two we had envisioned. The hostess station, four feet from the door, where the staff and arriving guests gathered, obstructed the traffic flow and disrupting the...

My best friend and I came here to treat ourselves for our birthdays. How very disappointing. We sat at the bar and were NOT greeted by Eric, the bartender. After flagging him down we ordered drinks and i told him I was starving. The drinks were literally thrown down in front us without any comment at all. After several moments I had to flag him down again to ask for a menu. I guess this is a local place because Eric was personable with patrons he knew. After ordering an appetizer, I wanted to order dinner. I couldn't get Eric's attention so I went to the hostess to ask for a menu. I ordered the Mediterranean pasta without capers. See photo...lots of capers. After ordering i had to ask for the soup that comes with the meal. No bread was served, and I had to reach over the bar for salt and pepper. This was suppose to be a special dinner for us and instead it was really disheartening. One highlight was the singer who...

Surprisingly quality food from the homemade soups, fresh salads and items you rarely see on menus...ESPECIALLY for the price point. The service is great, management sincerely connects with diners to ensure everything was up to par as he estimated "about 95% everything's from scratch". It is evident that is completely accurate. The ambiance is warm and lovely as the exposed brick and white tablecloths and cloth napkins provide a sense of fine dining with a neighborhood haunt experience. We've only been twice and were impressed by the whole experience was a 9 out of a 10 only because the steak a poivre needed a tad bit more of the mushroom brandy sauce. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare as ordered. My husband had the meatloaf and said the gravy...more like a rich and flavorful sauce was the best he ever had and that it kicked up the mashed potatoes really well. Great place...we will definitely return...often.
