I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1 like I want because I have been going to Bangkok Cuisine since I was very very young. I grew up in sterling heights and moved to rochester when I was 11 years old. My family owns a bakery at 15 and Dequindre which is in the same plaza as the other location. When moving to Rochester I found the location downtown rochester to be the best of all thr locations. As I got older I am now 30 years old the convenience of being able to just use a drive thru I found the auburn hills location more of a prime location for me because I can get it before school across the street however, everytime I go the seasoning isnt the same as the other locations, the food isnt also hot and just different quality but most of all you spend decent money (which I dont ever mind spending money on food) for there to be no meat, literally 4 small pieces of chicken in the whole $13 dish. This is pad pak with chicken....kind of disappointing. The shrimp Kung Hum Pa, orders were cold and over fried....and the pork fried rice was suppose to be Medium Plus and it was barely spicy...never any consistency in this location. Called to make a complaint as usual the owner is dismissive and blaming the chefs. She is always in a rush and everyone seems to be a bother to her. Knowing her background with the family you'd think after being handed this location and not having to work for the name she is very rude and has her nose up. Not cool. I'm gonna give it a break from this location for a long while. I spend probably 60$ a week here, that's $240 a month, I rather put it in the hands of...
Read moreToday was my first time eating here and it was completely spontaneous. I’m a picky eater, but since I hadn’t eaten all day I decided to give it a try. I was greeted immediately by a young man named Lucas and even though the phone rang as I was talking he excused himself and made sure it was ok with me.
The first thing I noticed were the very reasonable prices. I also noticed the crazy amount of phone calls coming in in the span of me ordering! There were at least 3, on top of people coming in and out to pick orders up.
I took a longer time to make up my mind (picky eater, remember?) and even asked Lucas his favorite dish, along with customer favorites. He told me without hesitation and was very detailed! But I still decided to go basic with the shrimp friend rice haha. Also, they take Apple Pay :)
The wait time was fairly reasonable at approximately 20 minutes, which I’d say is short for how busy it was at 6PM on a Saturday night. Lucas was also very patient with me when I changed my mind a couple times.
When I walked back home the food was still steaming and smelled delicious. I even stopped at a friends for 15 minutes before my place! I washed my hands and dug right in and it was immediately a 14/10 for me!
I can’t speak for other dishes, but I can for sure speak for the fresh shrimp fried rice and EXCELLENT customer service and environment! Thank you Bangkok Cuisine Express in Auburn Hills :)
Y’all better come up here and get...
Read moreGenerally, I love this place. It's close to OU, their lunch prices are reasonable ~$7 for pad thai which is better than every where else charging $11.
However, 3 things:
I'm giving it a 3 star review instead of a 5 because the employee at the cash register didn't seem to know how to offer good customer service. I ordered pad thai during lunch time but when i got there she had it written down as dinner. When I told her I wanted lunch she said I should've specified overt the phone. 1. It's lunchtime 2. Every time I call there i'm asked if I want lunch or dinner and 3. I personally don't believe it's proper customer service to say that to a customer.
Second thing, she put my take out in a bag without a fork, and there aren't any forks out for me to pick one up so I had to go back and ask her for one. How do I eat noodles without fork?
Third, I asked for medium spice. My pad thai doesn't taste like or look like there was anything put into it to make it so.
This was my experience with an employee I've never seen or served by before. Every other time my experience was pleasant here, so I do recommend people to...
