Chappy's Deli — Restaurant in Auburn

We've tried several Saturdays in a row for breakfast, and I think we've had enough. The food's pretty good, but the circus that surrounds the food is just not worth it. Today, none of the servers were clear as to who had our table, so any problem we had was magnified in the time it took to get a resolution. I ordered sweet tea and got unsweet. When I finally got the replacement, it was also unsweet, and I had to start all over. We didn't get our entire order when they brought out the food, and it took about 15 minutes to finally convince enough people to bring the rest of our food. Each time someone promised to check on the rest of our order, they would disappear. Anything else we needed, such as syrup, drink refills, extra napkins, etc., took forever. And each time they came by the table, they would clear away dishes that I wasn't finished with and would take my utensils in the process. I kept having to get up to find someone to bring me a replacement for the fork I just lost. I might have understood if it had been crowded, but it wasn't. Plus, the whole restaurant was hot, and it's not very appetizing watching the servers constantly wipe sweat. I think that will about...

Worse place ever to work at. They allow dishwasher to grab and hit other employees without any punishment. All the owners say is to over look her and let her have her way. Same dishwasher who doesn't wash some of the dishes , she just sprays them off and places them back on the racks as if they are clean. The prep dude places chemicals beside the meat he cuts and over the bacon and all the vegetables! The GM Kevin is a joke!! When you go to him with a problem he ignores you... Health Department gives faulty reviews because she is friends with someone who works there... I could go on and on... salad dressing have mold growing both inside and out of containers... management says just wipe it off. So for everyone who thinks this is such a great place to eat at you are so wrong.. another employee dropped chicken on the floor and picked it up and cooked it anyways and sent it out to a table.. of course nothing was done to her!! Had a great experience here. The service was awesome. I walked in the door and asked what was good to eat and from that moment until I left I was treated extremely well and felt very welcome and comfortable. I ordered the Bacon Burger with a side of fries with special instructions for the burger and they delivered on them excellently. I also enjoyed a Blue Moon with my meal which was served with an icy chilled mug. The only downsides (and these were extremely small downsides) were that the fries were only a little warm. Could have been fresher or perhaps heated a little longer, still delicious. Other downside was the seemingly small selection of beer available, however I was informed that they had only recently started serving again so not a huge disappointment. Only areas of improvement could be bigger or a more refined selection of beer and heating the fries a little...
