Went here tonight with my mom and son and, unfortunately, it was a big disappointment. From the moment we walked in at 8pm (closes at 9)it felt like we were interrupting the staff of 2. The person taking our order seemed far more interested in watching a game on his phone than helping us, and he couldnât answer basic questions about the menu.
We were the only people in the restaurant, yet it took over 20 minutes for three sandwiches and two nachos. My mom specifically asked if her sandwich was grilled or toastedâhe said grilled, but it came out toasted. My sonâs French dip looked like it had been thrown together with no care at all. I had a Mommaâs Love, which was okay (though light on dressing), but not worth the hassle of asking the employee if I could have additional.
To make matters worse, while we were eating, the staff started mopping the floor right next to our table, filling the place with the smell of bleach. Not exactly what you want while trying to enjoy a meal and conversation.
The experience here doesnât come close to the quality and atmosphere of the original Momma Goldbergâs on Donahue. Honestly, if this location canât raise its standards, it might be better...
Read moreWe visit Auburn frequently and love to grab a sandwich from Mama Goldbergâs! I ordered from this particular restaurant yesterday in a hurry vs the other location we typically use. NEVER EVER again!! This place is gross and the employees were EXTREMELY rude over simply asking for sauce lol. Itâs connected to a gas station. One of the employees didnât even wash their hands in the restroom after smoking a cigarette and then proceeded to make food for others. They were not busy at all and it took them 45 min extra to make our food (I even ordered online). They made us seem like an inconvenience. Super odd employees and vibe. This location definitely gives them a bad name. Definitely watch where you order from and use the other locations. We learned our lesson the hard way $60 later. I think next time we will definitely try other cleaner and better sandwich restaurants after...
Read moreThis is the most ridiculous experience I have had at a restaurant. We ordered in the drive though, they got our order wrong, I went inside and waited in a 15 min line to politely ask them to correct it (all we needed was for them to add lettuce and tomato to one sandwich). The girl behind the counter took it to the kitchen, which then REFUSED to correct our order. âYou get your order how it was listed on the ticketâ Well what if the drive though had a misunderstanding and put the ticket in wrong?!? The refused to add lettuce and tomato to the sandwich. In my experience, If you go to a McDonalds or a 5 star restaurant, they will fix your order, but apparently thatâs too much for Momma Gs on Dean Crossing. They didnât offer a refund or even an âIâm sorryâ. Crazy for a $15 sandwich. We love momma gs but will never return to...
