Review from a Florida Panhandle traveler passing through. Food is on-par. Selection of items was awesome, but nothing is labeled so not always sure what getting. Most items seems like every other 'southern' restaurant (e.g. catfish, potatoes, gravy); though a couple items seems genuine home cooking (cornbread). Iced tea was genuine brewed and had amazing southern taste (i.e. lots of sugar). But I disliked that plating was a little confusing in that off to the side and not clearly marked. And they only use Styrofoam cups and plastic forks/spoons, which I find to be a cardnal sin in southern cooking. I personally prefer metal forks/knives and an actual glass for my iced tea, but that's just me. The short lady that greeted me (Shalee) was amazing and charismatic, probably the best part of my visit. But I only saw my waitress one time to fill my Styrofoam cup. She didn't remove any old dishes and litteraly vacuumed under my table while eating. Overall, I'd give this a 3.5, but rounded up because compared to other restaurants in Auburn, this is probably the best place to eat. Also the greeter lady really was exceptionally inviting and earned it. LOTS of seating area, though it was all partitioned off.

Soul food at its best. We went 2 weeks after it opened on a Sunday around 4 pm (eastern time). The line was long but it moved along fairly quickly. There was several seating areas, a salad and slaw bar, a dessert bar and at least 6 food bars. The food was fresh, tender and warm. Our waiter was amazing. With all the people there he still managed to keep our played cleared and our drinks filled. The only thing I did not like was the water. It had a dirt taste to it so I ordered a tea which was very good. It was not too sweet for my taste. Make sure to get your silverwear in the check out area. The buffet line was long but again it moved quickly. Definitely a meal worth eating. We paid about $35.00 for 2 adults and a child (about 17.00 per adult) which included our drinks, taxes and was the weekend price. The weekly price on certain days was around $13.00 before drinks and taxes. Would recommend it and will definitely be returning.

I try with this place because I heared many good things about it... I was come with a high expectations And I want to blame the covid for my experience. This is a very typical southern food place to eat all you can eat inside of Auburn Mall. Menu is really southern food, but I’m feel that they can efforts more. Hot food was a good temperature but the salads are a little bit wrong, I had work to found the sauces. I would like that the vegetables be more fresh. The ribs in all his presentations are very good, the beans too. They offer different turkey preparations, but It’s not my favorite!!! Dessert is very important in places like this, but they no have a good variety. I didn’t like very much. However the place is big, they have careful about the covid. Guys are nice and ready to clean the dirty plates on the table. It’s a good place to eat all you can eat!

Love eating at Ole Country Buffet they have great food there and a very clean establishment. My only concerns is was the last couple on times I've been there I watched how they work their food line and was very disappointed. I've been in Food Service for over ten years and when you are on a buffet setting or just feeding a large group of people, when bringing out Fresh Food you MUST always either take old food off bar and throw in trash, OR when placing Fresh Food out you place Old Food(or let's say left over food that was either low or looking dried out) on top of fresh that is call rotating. Looks like to me you guys either don't want to have a lot of dishes or you just don't care. I went Ole Country Buffet on 23 Nov.20 and the Food Bar wasn't all that great. It looked like the food had been sitting there all day and most of the food looked so dry. Food hasn't been hot lately just warm. The Macaroni and Cheese was like it was on the Food Bar all day. Most definitely dry and that is one of my favorite food on the Bar. Also food was cold, their Peach Cobbler was so dry. Normally you see a juicy Peach Cobbler but the dough over power the peaches w/o juice in the Peach Cobbler. Your Food Bar should always, always look PRESENTABLE to your customers NO MATTER WHAT time your customers comes into your establishment. And one more thing NO CHILD, a small child from 1 year up to at least 7 or 8 years should be free and that's just my thought. Here me out no child will never be able to eat as much as an ADULT but you guys charge the same price for kids that are 5 and up. Example for 1 adult w/2 children is $30.00 dollars plus. That is to to much. I understand its a business but let's just be fair. With this Pandemic going on people are having hard times(and its our choice to venture out to eat out) but the people are the ones to have your establishment up and running. Everyone just need to just think about the hole situation. So with all that being said your Establishment is still one of the better Food...

Worst experience I have ever had at ANY restaurant in my entire life!! I was verbally attacked by the manager because I quietly took my silverware to the bathroom and washed them in the sink with soap and water because after 5 tries I could not find clean silverware to eat with. I did not make a fuss, I did not complain, I simply washed my silverware. Mind you, we also had to go through several plates to find a clean one. The food was horrible and neither myself, my daughter, nor my granddaughter ate $18.64 worth of food, which is what it cost to eat there. Again, we did not complain. After we finished eating my daughter and granddaughter went to the bathroom and I was at the table by myself, looking through my phone, while waiting on them. I was approached by an employee with no name tag on, who did not introduce herself to me. She began asking me if I took my silverware into the bathroom to wash it, and I told her I did. She began verbally attacking me for doing so. Other customers were watching with their jaw dropped, in disbelief. I tried to explain why I did what I did, but she just became increasingly louder. When she walked away I snapped her picture on my phone to send to corporate so they would know who this employee was. She yelled across the restaurant at me, asking if I took her picture. I told her that was none of her business. She then pointed at the door and demanded I leave the restaurant. I told her when my family got out of the bathroom we would leave. She yelled that she was going to call security to have me removed. I never became agressive with her, never stood from my seat. A male patron sitting at the next table over told me she was the manager and he could not believe she attacked me like that. I am appalled by what I endured yesterday! I will be calling corporate and may very well call an attorney. No customer at any restaurant should be treated the way I was treated. I have never been so humiliated and...

My very first time I visit this place. I was with my little daughter. I couldn't really enjoy my meal. I thought the good was okay. One day my husband took me to my appointment and he wanted Ole times since he hadn't been there before. So we went on a Wednesday instead of a Saturday. When I tell you these people have real country time food, they have sould food that some of what I taste, tastes like home. They even have pig feet. I was like whatttt??? At first I seem the neckbones with gravy on them and I then looked over and seen CHITTERLINGS!!!! I said to an elderly lady they have really went ole time on us. Then she replied well I am about to go way back and taste them. I laughed and to myself I thought I dont eat everybody chitterlings, but they looked so appealing and they was fine chopped. I said Lord I know they dont taste like my mama's but I might to try them myself. Lord, Lord, Lord. Can I say those neckbones were so tender and those chitterlings were so good. I got me an ice cream bowl and filled it up. All that pork I did not need but I ate it even though i suffer with headaches after eating pork. I said they have used their vinegar. I thought I would have high blood pressure when I left that place. Lol. Wednesday's are the only day I wanna go back. Saturday for dinner are straight too if you are a seafood fan they need to start doing crab legs also that will sure enough be a...
