Ahhh...why did it take us this long to try this place? Turo turo cafeteria style Filipino food that's worth the drive from Seattle.
The kare kare was complex in flavor 👍 and had lots of vegetables. The sisig was on the safe side (no pork head parts) but carried it's own with the right amount of spices, crunch, and heat. My partner prefers their chicken adobo over mine 🙄, and he finished all the adobo and igado on his plate. The lechon kawali was cooked to crispy goodness, yet the meat stayed moist and flavorful. I almost forgot that it came with Mang Tomas dipping sauce.
We're too full to eat the the halo halo, but maybe will have it in the car once the food settles down.
Come hungry, as the portions are good. 🤗
By the way, the original Google maps location has it outside of the Collections Outlet mall when it is actually inside the mall, in the food court (Fieldhouse USA side). I've updated the location, so hopefully it will...
Read moreAs a Filipino, I believed it is such a shame that I myself would received an unwelcome, horrible customer service here granting that the people working at this food stall, are my fellow countrymen. I did not hear any kind of greetings from the beginning as I stood in front of their stall deciding what to eat; nor even thank you after paying for my order. This was not the first time I experienced these but I decided to stay quiet before. But this time not anymore, because today the moment a Caucasian came up to the line behind me, this Filipino guy worker and Filipina which happens to be the cashier decided to ask what they would like to order and being so friendly. WHAT A SHAME! WHAT A CRAB MENTALITY! ! By the way, above are all honest review and their food is not even that great. SHAMEFUL! What an insult to a fellow kababayan. Never again will order anything from this food...
Read moreAlways a pleasure. Food is always great. I usually drop by to pick up lunch around the time they open at 11am. A bit later than that and it will get busy. Food is presented turo-turo style. They are very liberal with servings.
Let me get this clear: it's fast-food. I do not expect sit-down restaurant quality food. Considering this, they're actually pretty good. I've had almost all their ala-carte food including their signature lumpia, rice noodles (palabok, pancit), and of course, halo-halo. I do not understand the negative reviews. The halo-halo is actually pretty good that it stands out to me, as I've always had worse everywhere else that is not serving it as a specialty...
