Whenever I go to a new restaurant, if there is a Cheeseburger and Fries option; That will ALWAYS be the first thing I try! I absolutely love them, sometimes I feel like the Hamburgler š, I could eat Cheeseburgers and Fries all day everyday.. Iād die fast š.. but Iād die HAPPY š„°.
So, this establishment.. The name of this place is āRoyās All Steak HAMBURGERSā (If I could Underline the word Hamburgers on my phone app.. I would).
This food establishment.. having the word Hamburgers in its name, I was expecting to find a really good Hamburger/Cheeseburger and fries. Well now I know, that just because the word āHamburgersā is in a restaurant name, it really doesnāt mean anything. This place was a superb letdown and as soon as I moved here, my Mother took me to try there Hamburgers as she knows thatās what I love.
Huge letdown; after getting our food, I truly gave my mother a death stare. Once I got over the initial shock of how pathetic the burger looked, I figured I try it anyway.. we paid for it already, might as well give it a taste test, I was thinking āmaybe it tastes amazingā š¤·š». Nope not amazing, not even worth dog food. After taking a bite, I looked at my mother with a blank stare, chewed an swallowed, I told my mother with complete blank expression āYour burgers are better than this placesā and my mother isnāt a chef, she isnāt a cook with real world experience in a restaurant kitchen or even in a Burger King/Mcdonalds.. sheās just a Mom who cooked for her kids and family and when I say my mothers cooking is better than a restaurantās cook! Bruh, you seriously need to rethink your menu, the way you cook your burgers or just do us all a favor and take the word āHamburgersā out of your name!
Also on a side note, the fries taste like you got the cheapest frozen bag of fries from a grocery store! They too were pathetic!
I donāt know what your other food tastes like, but I can assure you, Iāll never pay to find out! An every time Iām with friends an weāre thinking about a place to eat, when people bring up your restaurant, I ALWAYS tell them āHard Passā. Never again, EVER.
But other than the piss poor Burger & Fries; service wasnāt bad, employees were pretty welcoming and polite. And the cleanliness of the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBeing new in town I accidentally mistook this place for Roy's market, upon entering I quickly realized it wasn't the place I thought it was. With that said I was warmly greeted with an interior that was clean and spacious. The employees were dressed appropriately and immediately I was greeted by them. I was impressed by how well organized they seemed behind the counter and how polite they were to the customers. there was a blonde woman behind the counter who I very quickly realized must be the owner. It was very apparent that she had things under control and at any moment would have been there for any of her employees to assist in whatever issue that may arise. Learning quickly that they were famous for their burgers I ordered a plain cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, onion and extra mayonnaise to go. I think I paid just over $3 which I found appropriate. I appreciate it the container of the burger came in as it was easier to maintain a mess on the go the burger was soft and tasteful and had just the right amount of cheese. The only issue I had with the burger was that they put a napkin under the burger inside the box which stuck to the bottom of the burger and was difficult take off. I'm sure they do this so that the grease does not leak out of the box. A thicker tissue such as a paper towel may not have stuck as much as the napkin used was clearly tableware and very thin. I most definitely...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have driven by this place too many times to count. Finally took a leap of faith and tried it out today. First things first - cash only, totally cool with this and their no frills approach ... but that no frills, low overhead business model should mean a better bang for your buck. Portions are very small (IMHO)!for what they charge and I honestly didn't find their burgers to be overly tasty or anything special, essentially a local "McDonald's" although slightly better quality. The crinkly cut fries are very good however and if you like fries get a large because a small is just a tease. Service was fine, nothing special, establishment could use a little sprucing up bit otherwise acceptable for what it is. Overall not bad, but yet another place I more than likely will not go out of my way to return to and not my first recommendation in the area for a good burger. (Cow Bell is Amazing!) I feel this is more of a ālocal institutionāā that is slightly overrated based on its history vs. the actual quality...
