Happy Days Diner — Restaurant in Auburn

I heard about this place being good, but was rather disappointed when coming here as it was alright

The service was friendly and nice which I enjoyed

However the atmosphere wasn’t there and felt kinda like hodgepodge of different stuff

And the food was very underwhelming, I know it’s a diner but still the biscuits and gravy had no taste and bread wasn’t the best choice and the fries are more akin to something you would get for lunch or dinner

And the monte cristo was very underwhelming, it felt more like a breakfast sandwich than an actual monte cristo. Of course depending were you go it can change in appearance, but this wasn’t it unfortunately. I would keep the French toast add more cheese and meat(depending on you get) and use either a beer batter or a traditional egg batter and deep fry it and serve it with a maple blackberry jam

A good place to go with family but wouldn’t recommend if you want...

After a 30 minute wait, we were finally seated. Then the food managed to take an hour and a half to arrive. No food should ever take that long, especially breakfast. There were tables that sat after us that were gone before we even got our food. Furthermore, the server rarely came over to us so we were left with empty cups for much of our wait for the food. When it did arrive, it was apparent that the ingredients were frozen, not fresh. The eggs were preblended and from a carton. The whole dish lacked flavor. The entire restaurant could really use a deep cleaning every now and then. Im 19 and im pretty sure everything in there was older than me, including the dirt on the floor and the cobwebs in the corners of the ceiling. Some of the chairs were falling apart, and the decor was dated. There were a couple bookshelves with books about elvis and marilyn monroe and some pictures of old diners, and...

This place is the definition of a real traditional restaurant. If you don’t like there music put a headphone in haha, everyone is just well, having a good time, and making even better soul food. Great music! Don’t let nobody tell y’all different haha I grew UP on that music and I will be sure come back. Thank you, to the severs, chefs, everybody works here, you all work together great and made my week! I got Belgian Waffle and a grilled choco muffin to go, sadly no pictures of (I enjoyed it that much) please treat yourself, your husband, wife the family whoever to a lovely morning here at this beautiful cafe/restaurant.
