Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Auburn

Just went through the drive through at 10:45 pm. Mind you there are at least 6-8 workers in there right now. Ordered a simple coney, two cheeseburgers (specified with cheese and ketchup only) with fries and a blast. To start off I did not receive any fries, but was also not charged for them. When I received my food I was missing one of the burgers and when I checked the other one I was given it did not have any cheese. I waited for them to come back and they asked me what was wrong and after I told them, an argument ensued inside over the issue. The lady opens the window again and asks “You wanted cheese on that?” And I said yes. She said,” On both of em?” And I said yes mam. She asked for the burger they gave me back and then one of the other ladies inside through it away angrily and yelled to the back to fix more sandwiches. I got my sandwiches, checked them to make sure it was correct and left.

On another note when I pulled up to the window there was clearly plenty of workers there. Two of which were up at the front on their phones just chillin and sippin on some drinks. Others just walking around preparing food at their own leisurely time. NONE of these workers at the front had gloves on, which leads me to believe that the ones in the back did not either. Filthy, very unsanitary.

This has got to be the worst staffed, worst service, most piss poor Sonic Drive-In that I have ever been to. To give this place one star is generous. This is the second time I have reviewed this place over simple orders that have been completely messed up and workers I’ve seen not doing anything but standing around on their phones.

Went to this location at midnight and was told at the drive thru that they are only taking door dash orders. I said okay, and placed a door dash pickup order for 2 ice creams and a side of fries. I pulled up to the mic and told them I have a door dash order. When they answered they said “okay just tell them we’re cleaning the ice cream machine” (I assume she thinks I’m a door dash driver lol) so I say “okay so they can’t get ice cream?” She said “no, just tell them we’re cleaning it right now” I assume she means it will take longer than usual so I pull up to the window and get the fries and she says “is there anything they wanted other than the ice cream and fries?” I say no and sit for awhile. I’ve never worked fast food so I didn’t just automatically know that when they clean the machine they basically stop serving for the night. Finally after awhile she walks up to the window with a rude look on her face and says “can I help you” I tell her that we placed the order and we’re still waiting on the ice cream. She said “yeah I asked you earlier if you wanted something other than ice cream because we’re cleaning it” (not what she said) but I say okay I’ll take some slushees. I ultimately got a refund from door dash because that’s not what I paid for. I just feel like ultimately the worker could’ve been more CLEAR and nicer about the situation. Just overall a...

I went to the local sonic to get ice cream! Pulled up at the menus on the side, pressed the red button and waited almost 10 minutes. Saw an employee and asked her if the machine was messed up and she rudely popped off to me how there was only 1 worker bringing orders out! Which I understand, So I waited another 5 minutes until a black guy pulled up in a truck and pressed the button and immediately got service and ordered ice cream and was brought right out to him. So I went to the drive through and waited 4 minutes just for an answer just to be told the ice cream machine was down! Even though I just witnessed them bring a sundae out and as I was pulling out I see through the window that they were making an ice cream cone and bringing it outside to a customer! This was the most racist experience I have encountered in an EXTREMELY long time! I know it had to do with RACE when they were serving the black customers that would just pull up, but wouldn't serve me!!! (I'm white)So I spent over 20 minutes at sonic just to be denied service!!
