My first experience was OK. the fish was undercooked. It was pink in the inside when I brought it to the attention of the cashier she went back and told the owner in the back it’s like the owner became hostile and argumentative and was saying you have to order it hard next time I said well that does not have nothing to do with it being pink in the inside. I gave it a second try because it was re cooked right! I go today and ordered over $40 worth of food two plates of chicken breast and two legs. One of the Plate had a leg a wing and a thigh, so I went back and brought it to the cashier attention that I wanted a breast and two legs for my friend initially. The owner came from the back and said well she would have to pay for an extra piece of chicken, which we already have paid for it. She was like ma’am no you did not. It’s supposed to be a mix plates and I said yes ma’am that’s what I said. It’s supposed to be a mixed plate. She was very hostile and argumentative once again so I said I do not want the food anymore. Just cancel the order when I said that she said we could fix it. I said no ma’am I don’t want to eat from anywhere with someone being rude she became more hostile and argumentative because I Want a refund she continued to try to argue with me. One of her employees came from the back and said just give her a refund and she refunded my friend and asked me to leave. I said sure I will leave but ma’am you wanted to argue with me she said I will never argue with you. I’m too intelligent. Obviously, she is not. If she is arguing about a piece of chicken I would never return back to this place of business. This lady is very aggressive. I have a business of my own and one of my clients told me about how she wasn’t right and does not pay her employees, but I still was trying to give the business a chance if you want rude customer service when your food is not right then go there it was outside another lady complaining about her pork chop not having seasoning and the owner was upset about...

If you’re looking for true Southern soul food that’ll have you calling your mama asking her to apologize for her cooking skills, this is your spot. Southern & Savory Café isn’t just serving up food - they’re serving up feelings. Grandma’s holding down the register, and her magic in the kitchen will make your taste buds tap-dance with joy.
The fried pork chops? Absolute perfection ... crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. The fried okra might just be the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve eaten more than my fair share across the South. My buddy went for the fried chicken and couldn’t say much because, well, his mouth was full the entire time (which I’m taking as a five-star endorsement).
Everything about this place feels authentic, from the friendly welcome to the generous portions that make you feel like you’re sitting at your grandma’s Sunday table. The prices are fair, the portions hearty, and the atmosphere pure Southern comfort.

Read moreMy mom and I were in the area. We stopped by during lunch. It was not very busy although they had several seated guests and a steady stream of customers. We were greeted by friendly staff. The menu was complete with a good selection of southern food. We ordered our food from the counter and dined in. We did not have to wait long for our food. My fried chicken was perfect and my mother said that it was the best fried pork chop she had from a restaurant in years. My fault for not asking beforehand, but the turnips had bits of bacon. Overall we did enjoy our dining experience. I would like to have came on a day when they had different menu choices as I understand their items do rotate and change frequently. The restaurant and the bathroom were clean, spacious, and well supplied. They could easily host a large group. It is located on the far corner of the plaza; and note that the parking...
