Checkers — Restaurant in Auburndale

We are just leaving from ordering the guy who took our order (Xavier) got it wrong then when I said something he's like well that's what I wrote so basically we not getting what we ask for they making what they want mean while we repeated our order 4 times and Xavier repeated it 3times as well so he insinuated we get what we get not what we ordered.Then I asked for a grilled chicken my sandwich was ice cold when I bit into it i then go back around for the second time and the manager (Keosha) hears me out looks at me stupid and says I dont know what you want me to do about it and dismisses me....I was beside myself I repeated her and said wow ok......Miss lady if you dont like your job then find another one and dont do food industry because you are horrible at customer service. She didnt offer a refund she didnt offer to make a new order she just dismissed me and shut the window. Meanwhile when i was talking to Xavier she was right behind him on her phone and never chimed in. There's a whole sign that says no cellphones allowed pass this point and Keosha was bent over on a table on her phone. I will be reaching out to cooperate and letting them know how rude and nasty there employees are. I cant believe that the manger literally told me to eat the ice cold grilled chicken that had salmonella. DO NOT ORDER OR EAT HERE WHILE THESE PPL ARE WORK. EVERYTIME WE GO AND SHES THERE THEY GET THE ORDER WRONG AND NOW THIS. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS SHUT THEM DOWN AND BY THEM I MEAN THAT NIGHT SHIFT CURE FROM 10/5/25 IT WAS 7:25PM FIRE THE STAFF FROM TONIGHT. There has been great service here before from a few respectable employees but the ones from this evening need to be let go immediately before I go to the news station. Cooperate has been notified and Im not letting this go. Another person would have thrown the sandwich at her and got arrested. Thank God I walk...

I haven’t been to a checkers in a very long time and my wife has never been. I remember how delicious their fries were, how quick service was and was excited to take my wife now that a brand new checkers opened up right down the road from us. Today was nothing like I remember.

According to our receipt, we arrived and order via their nonsense AI system at 7:36PM. Personally I will always ask for a live person from now on (with the huge assumption I even bother returning). There were 3 other cars ahead of us after ordering but it seemed to move along quickly. Little did I know after paying they would have us circle back around to the other side to wait for our food. The truck in front of us got the same treatment. They just do this to make their drive thru times look quick, which is a joke.

After waiting an exorbitant amount of time we got our food. We knew something would be wrong. Even when paying at the first window they ran through everything with us and confirmed what was ordered. We had to correct them that the AI got wrong and they immediately let someone making the food know. But when we finally got the food, the chicken sandwich was made wrong completely, not even the parts that the AI messed up, but the entire thing. So we waited even longer for them to remake the food correctly.

Make note I said the receipt says we arrived at 7:36PM… we didn’t leave the window until 8:03PM. I have never waited so long at a FAST food restaurant. This was absolutely a joke. Luckily we had our drinks right away, without straws, right? By the time we got home with everything the ice in our drinks was melted and the cokes watered down, the food was meh, and I’d be surprised if this brand new location even makes it for very long.

Ordered 2 combo meals Philly cheese steak sandwiches. Sandwiches were so dry they could have helped soak up the flood waters from Hurricane Helena. My Dad's sandwich just had two pieces of "meat"on it between the right out of the plastic bag bun. Mine had cheese hidden in between the 2 "meat" patties. However they do get credit for the bacon they added which was so dehydrated, it could have competed with Jack Links beef jerky and I Saw Sasquatch peak around the corner because he couldn't believe someone managed to get meat dryer than the one he promotes. He might have been heading over to the drive-thu to apply for a job. So ofcourse I didn't realize any of this until I took a bite out of the sandwich. I pop the top bun off my sandwich to discover they must be using the collection of combo meat grizzle and mystery char that accumulates on a griddle after cooking on it all week. This can also sometimes be found at the bottom of your grill when you don't clean it , umm ever. So after seeing this sprinkled on top. I figured my my meal was over. I just didn't know which end of me it was going to come out of first. Judging by the churning in my stomach at the moment, it could be both. Regardless, the cheese steak is supposed to have shaved juicy beef and piled nicely. Then cheese melted on top, probably some onions and possibly other goodies like sauce or seasonings of some sort. So, the fries and drinks I heard were acceptable, but as of now, I'm trying to forget the experience. Sad thing is I've eaten here many times in the past, and while it wasn't always fantastic, it was usually...
