Let me start this rant my saying I have worked in fast food and medical industry my whole life. I know customer service. I understand how it works and what people deal with. I never go to McDonalds anymore or really any fast food at all but I decided to go to the Auburndale McDonald’s. I order my food, pay at first window. Get to the second window and get all my drinks. They then ask me to pull to wait and I politely said no bc there was already one person pulled all the way up and 3 ppl waiting in the parking spots. I knew I was going to have to sit there for forever. If I wanted to wait on my food, id take my kids to a sit down restaurant. They proceeded to ask for my card to tell me I was getting a refund for not cooperating… im sorry what? I said no I’ll wait for the food I paid for. I do not have to pull up. They then start serving everyone’s food out of the first window instead of giving my food. No one came to the second window for 5 min. So now it’s just the point. I back all the way up to the first window when another car leaves. While I’m backing up she threatens to call the cops if I hit something. the first lady decided to hang out the second window yelling saying to come up there she was going to give me my food. Then the girl at the first window is telling me “how about you just go do your job, just go to your own job” again.. I’m sorry what? How about you do yours first of all. Then get mad when I check all my food to make sure they didn’t do nothing to it. Safe to say I’m never going to another McDonald’s. I do not care about your window turn around time. I want my food on a timely manner bc that’s why I came here and not chilis. I wish I could make this stuff up. Read moreNight crew staff is rude. Waited in line at the speaker for 10 min to order. I pulled to the first window and told the girl i was waiting to order and no one came on the speaker. She rolled her eyes and got mad because I pulled to the window to give my order. She had a poor attitude, she took her headset off and slammed it down. She asked what my order was by saying "what do you want". At the next window, I got another rude employee. She gave me my drinks and I asked to talk to a manager she asked me to pull forward. The manager heard me asking for her and walked around, asked the girl if there was a problem, she said no. The girl asked me again to pull forward and I said not until I talk to the manger. she got mad and also rolled her eyes and told the manager I wanted to talk to her. Came back and said that she was busy and for me to pull forward. I told her again, not until i talk to the manager. Manager came and what a surprise, she was just as rude. I told her what was going on and that I had even sat there and seen 3 other cars get mad and pull away. The girl that gave me my drinks said that she took my order at the speaker, i told the manager she had not, i had to pull to the window to give my order. They both wanted to argue with me. Read moreFor one I don't see a reply to the first complaint, which tells me management doesn't care. I will say all in all the staff are very nice people but my experiences late afternoon to late night are terrible. First of all a shift manager has no business running the dry station while a teenager is trying to expedite. Secondly the kitchen just doesn't care because a manager can specifically instruct them to do something and they still don't listen. The food is usually cold because they aren't minding hold times. I usually just don't go. Clearly the district manager doesn't care because all of these claims are supported with closing reports that will show drive thru time, staffing, positioning, ect. I've successfully run fast food restaurants before and this was before people could voice and rate places online. I read through the comments and not the first reply was given. You shouldn't count on your sales to be carried by your brand. This doesn't mean you can just give bad service and it's ok because it's McDonald's. It's a fast food chain not a monopoly. Side note no fast food chain should shut down their lobby kitchen line before 10 PM. That's why it's so slow. You have one side with two people making food for lobby, two drive thru lines and one person on the grill. That's why it's slow. So when I finally reached someone, which wasn't until the next day I spoke to the GM and she requested the cold food Inwas served back for her to replace it. What a joke.
