Last time I went, a guy was behind counter and I asked for something he did it, then I forgot a straw and when I asked he cut me off saying he didn’t take orders. Mind you I was just going to ask for an additional straw. I think his name was Brandon, something with a B. I went to the restroom and when I came back, my friend told me he took two girls orders. Unacceptable. I called the next day to complain (idk why I didn’t think of it sitting there) but the manager said he’d talk with him. The one star is for the drinks. I travel a lot due to work and I always stop by washington rd when I have time. Last weekend i went as I have several times before and the experience has been up and down. Sat at the bar and ordered a Long Island and some wings! I absolutely loved the Allie katz special wings, came out piping hot, my fries also were fresh. The place was cool, darts and pool. Allie Katz is definitely a dive bar, but that's exactly what I love about it. Great drinks, great people, great atmosphere. The staff are kind, good hearted people with really upbeat attitudes that fit the scene. The drinks are reasonably priced, & you'll typically find a nice mix between sweet & traditional shots/drinks on the specials board; so there's something for everyone. The wells are what you'd expect, and they have a some nice top shelf options, though those are limited (it's a dive, so don't go in with snooty expectations).
