If I didn't have to put any stars I honestly wouldn't, This location was a nightmare, I booked a room yesterday online and checked in with my mother at around 7:30 pm I just got through driving 10 hours straight from Florida because my mother is having a serious surgery early Monday morning, to start the customer service through all interactions with the staff was excellent!! But we did have several issues with our "rooms", upon arriving we where placed in room 255 which we found out was exclusively for people with pets, which we do not have!! But the way we found that out was the bed was full of pet hair and the sheets had bodily fluids on them it was clear that the bed covers had not been washed so we had to go to the front desk right away and Express this to the receptionist, and request a clean room because with my mothers upcoming surgery it is imperative that she be in a clean environment where she is able to rest comfortably, so upon requesting a room change we where then offered room 118 a handicap room which we where both agreeable to because we are disabled, and this room was on the first floor, so assuming that there would be no issue in the next room we were assigned to we moved all our stuff from 255 to 118 as soon as we got into this room my mother and I both needed to shower and get adequate rest after having traveled all day. But when my mother got into the shower I tried locating a remote for the TV to turn it on, there was no remote in the room, but I looked everywhere it could have possibly been drop including behind the bed, upon my inspection behind the bed it was immediately apparent just how dirty this room truly was, there was a spider that I killed , someone's dirty bandage, and old popcorn, And as if this wasn't enough my mother almost fell in what was suppose to be a safe handicap bathroom because the floor completely flooded with water from the shower, that in itself is a huge liability considering this is exclusively a handicap room designed for individuals with disabilities, also there was not a seat guard on the toilet so it was not previously cleaned prior to our arrival, and the trash can was full of someone else trash, and someone's clothing was left behind on the floor, to add to these issues the room we are in 118 has a conjoined door to another room that apparently was left unlocked and the next room had complete access to our room, the AC unit was disgusting the filter was very dirty as well. The receptionist "Antoinette " brought us a new remote and upon turning the tv on there is a large line running straight through the middle of the tv! And we showed her the condition of the room and she was in shock and told us she would make notes of everything and we could change the room again if we wanted to but with our understandable exhaustion at this time we declined the offer till the next day today and when we went to breakfast we brought up last nights issues with the next woman who was there, she did find the notes the previous woman left, and attempted to move our room to 119 but upon inspecting that room it also had not been serviced and there was a exposed electrical socket and wires that appeared to have been taken apart by maintenance and left on the sink .. So at this point after now 3 flailed attempts at a suitable clean room we just decided to stay in 118 the handicap room , and we where assured that these issues would be immediately discussed with management upon there arrival, we haven't heard anything from them yet but for the rate we paid for two nights here I believe we at least deserve a refund because my mother is here to rest and have a major surgery, and we deserve to be in a clean environment that is peaceful leading up to my mothers procedure. I honestly am not sure what is going on here with there house keeping and maintenance, but it is unacceptable and needs to be addressed immediately, If it where not for the exceptional customer service we have received from the staff I would have requested a refund last night upon checking...
Read moreI urge any reader of this review to consider hell or prison as lodging options before staying at the Red Roof Inn. ||I’m being harsh you’re thinking. Glib. But when you pay $400 a night to sleep in a room that smells like an ash tray, didn’t have a working door on the toilet and hasn’t seen a housekeeper since it was built in 100 BC a little humour is the best I can muster. ||We stayed during Masters week and when somewhere multiplies their average room rate by 10 you’d think they’d make a bit more effort. The expectations were that the room would be clean, have 2 beds and a toilet. ||How in the world this place has a rating of 4/5 for cleanliness is beyond me. They must be paying for reviews is all I can guess because this place is as filthy as my ex wife. On walking into the room we were greeted by a toilet bowl filled with faeces which frightened my initially as I thought a bear might be in the room still by the size of it. ||When we checked in the rather rude lady said “child please, check in is 3pm it’s masters week.” Ok I thought, thanks for the warm welcome. She then grunted a response that we could leave our bags at our own risk before saying “you’ve booked a smoking room.” What’s that I asked - I don’t smoke. She said I’d booked through a third party like I’d insulted a close relative of hers (Expedia) - she really took delight in not being able to help and I was surprised she didn’t ask to accompany us to the room when we got the keys to see the misery on our faces at the smell and filth we would be surrounded by for then next two nights. ||So as you can tell I’m disappointed there’s not a 0/5 option on Tripadvisor but as I did with the red roof inn, I’ll graciously accept my fate and move on. Please don’t stay here unless you really have to and if you’re going to the masters consider 1) paying the money for a Hilton or Marriott branded hotel, 2) staying in Atlanta and getting a taxi both ways or 3) staying in a tent which will be cleaner and have better...
Read moreMy bf and I just stayed the night there and I forgot my jacket there in the room, we called after looking in our car and suitcases and didn’t find my jacket and when we called the manager answered the phone and he hung up on us while we were in the middle of telling him what happened and when we called back he yelled at us to not even bother showing up, we did go cause my jacket had my drivers license and debit card in it and he gave us attitude for coming and he was rude and disrespectful towards us he gave us attitude for asking if they had a lost in found and for asking if he or we could check the room and he said he would but I don’t think he checked cause he was on his phone the whole time with his AirPods in not even bothering to be polite to us. There were multiple people complaining about him at the same time as him and he was the only person working tonight. Not to mention the bed smelled strongly of corn starch and bleach, and there was hairs all over the bed sheets and the floors were dirty with hairs and dirt and crushed leaves so I don’t think the room was properly cleaned. But overall we DO NOT recommend staying here unless you want to be disrespected or be denied your property! Also this is the red roof inn on Washington road in Augusta Georgia.
Update:
Went back the next day again, and a sweet lady informed us that housekeeping found my jacket. So there was in fact a jacket present unlike what you stated. The guy who did not help us was extremely rude, did not have a name tag, so we couldn’t get a man as he refused to give us one. This place is extremely unprofessional, even trying to make you out to be a liar in their responses. If i could I’d give this place a negative 10. If rather take my chances on the street than...
