Excellent authentic Indian and Indo-Chinese cuisine! There are quite a few South Indian and vegetarian dishes on the menu. Along with a robust selection of meat dishes, biryanis, curries and desserts.
You can order dishes in mild, medium and hot, so no matter how you like your food you should be very happy.
I eat a lot of Indian restaurants all around the country, and this one is definitely among the top. A huge selection of dishes, familiar favorites as well as many you would never see on most Indian restaurant menus.
There are two rooms, one is the general dining room and the other one seems to be available for private events. There's also a bar inside that you can sit at.
The presentation of the food is quite beautiful and the flavors are complex and fun to eat.
The atmosphere is quiet, which is quite nice. Often restaurants play loud music and it's hard to talk. But that is not at all the case here. We never had to raise our voices in order to hear each other while sitting across from each other at a table.
The prices are quite reasonable and everything is very clean, including the restrooms. The staff are very polite and attentive. Our water glasses were always full and anything we needed was brought quickly.
We arrived around 5:30 p.m. and there was no wait, by 6:30 p.m. the restaurant was full and there were people waiting to be seated.
When we were first walking in a gentleman who was leaving asked us "is this your first time"? When we said "yes" he said "you will not be disappointed, I drive 55 miles just to come to this restaurant". He was right, not only were we not disappointed, we now have a new favorite restaurant to eat at!
We will definitely be coming back to try lots...
Read moreWe went to this restaurant with my husband and two kids for the first time. When we stepped in, we were greeted very warmly by a seater/host and told that we could pick any table we wanted. We selected a couple of appetizers: Mix Veg Pakora and Veg Samosa. They were a bit salty but I didn't complain because I love salty food. They were excellent in taste and presentation. For my daughter, we got chicken nuggets and boiled eggs, as they have a kids menu unlike most other Indian restaurants I have been to. The kids food was great. The boiled eggs came in a good portion size and nicely seasoned, which my daughter loved. For our main dishes, we selected chicken biryani, methi mutter malai, saag paneer, and rogan josh. We like to order a variety of dishes to try them out and take them as left overs. Every meal came in great portions, tasted great with delicious spices and herbs we love and in nice porcelain services. The waiter brought extra rice in advance for my son. The appetizers came promptly. The main dishes also came on time. The restaurant itself looks very clean and is comfortable with nicely cushioned chairs, set up tables and a large screen tv showing Indian food, which is great for a restaurant. While we were eating, the chef came to ask how we liked the food and the waiter accommodated us nicely during our dining. At the end of our meal, the waiter gave us nice plastic cups with lids to put the left overs, which I can reuse myself. Overall, this was a great experience and we will frequent this restaurant from now on. I can happily say that there is a great and a reasonably priced Indian...
Read moreWell I usually don't do Indian Restaurant reviews because I am quite picky due to having an amazing home chef growing up named Mom. That being said.....
The food here is what I would say is comparable to my mom's cooking. The sampler platter is a great appetizer for a 2-3 person table, with the samosas, pakoras, and the spicy fried okra hitting it out of the ball park. I have thoroughly enjoyed the bone-in goat curry as it is one of my favorite dishes. Anyone trying Indian cuisine for the first time, I highly recommend the butter chicken , the vegetable koorma, or the tandoori chicken. The garlic naan was also cooked to perfection, toasty on the outside and soft towards the middle.
On top of the food flavorful and savory, I highly recommend the Kulfi and Chai. Its the perfect hot and cold to the end of the meal.
Should you opt for an adult beverage, you can also enjoy a nice cold King Fisher beer, glass of wine, or a whiskey on the rocks to have with your meal with their extensive bar. This bar also has bar seating for a cozy date night.
To make your dining experience pleasant and well rounded you also have staff that is striving for excellence in customer service. Every time I have eaten here the service has been timely and efficient.
Cheers to a delectable meal at this gem of a restaurant here in...
