My family and I stayed from June 7th to June 9th. Our mini vacay didn’t start out the best, as soon as we got out of our vehicle it reeked of weed, it was coming straight from the pool area. We went to check in just for the receptionist to be sitting at a table, with air pods in on his phone (not paying the slightest attention). We looked past that and still tried to have a positive attitude, our room was clean and spacious. The next morning I called for some extra towels (we had 2 adults plus 2 kids), our room was only provided with 2. The receptionist was very kind and promised to have housekeeping bring some but they never did. That night upon returning from our activities I asked the front desk for some to which her response was they didn’t have any towels and she wasn’t very apologetic. I had to get multiple hand towels for me and my family to dry off with. We decided to try the pool area for our babies, it was over crowded, reeked of weed (yes people were smoking around the pool) had tons of kids unsupervised and running around crazy, it almost felt like a run down hangout spot, not a classy hotel. The next morning before checking out we wanted to try the breakfast, once we came around the corner we were quickly disappointed, no eggs, no grits, no orange juice in the machine, the oatmeal was nothing but water, waffle batter was thrown everywhere with trash just sitting all on the counters. It was absolutely disgusting. I walked over to ask the receptionist (Hope) to ask if they would be putting new food out, before I even finished my sentence I was rudely cut off and she said the lady in charge of the breakfast had to run to the store to purchase more food because they ran out. The breakfast cook had just walked in when I asked and set items on the front desk, when she cut her eyes at me and said “I’m coming!!” I was taken back by the response, I was being kind and me and my family were being patient. For a response like that was unnecessary. We decided to leave the breakfast area and gather our items to check out. Upon checking out Hope asked me how our stay was besides running out of eggs (yes she had a sarcastic attitude!!) I tried to tell her we were disappointed with the breakfast and even the towels. Just for her to shrug it off and said yeah we didn’t any extras this morning (when I asked for some the night before), that’s how little attention she was paying to what I was saying. Overall I do not recommend this place, we will not ever stay again. This place cost way too much money to have an experience like we did (Rude staff, reeked of weed, disgusting breakfast area,...
Read moreIn June I needed rooms to accommodate my sons basketball team, I called in to make arrangements and Hampton Inn & Suites Washington Road August, Georgia was very accommodating and friendly.
On July 13th I was leaving for Jamaica and because I didn't know the data rates and roaming charges, decided to cancel any rooms not booked ahead of schedule. On July 17th, I noticed 4-$1.00 charges on my account then $410+ deducted from my account. I was immediately perturbed. In spite of T-mobile charging $.30 a minute for international calls, I called and spoke to staff about what happened and was told a manager would give me a call or I can call back at 2pm EDT. I called back after being on hold for about 15 minutes still no manager.
It appears that whoever checked in the parents NEVER asked for an ID or card to be used. I'm unsure how that happened when the rooms were supposed to be booked under my confirmation but in their name, zeroing out mine. Today is July 20th, as of today I have yet to hear from anyone at Hampton Inn & Suites.
Because of these charges, I'm in Jamaica with a balance of $5 on my account for a stay where I'm 150,000 miles away. I have the cancelation email so my card should NOT have been used... period! I have since contacted the parents who was also was charged. I called my bank and was told that I cannot dispute the charges until it becomes actual transactions. As much as I hear them, my account cannot be used because the money is not there.
I am beyond concerned of the practices and huge mistake by Hampton Inn & Suites and pray this dilemma doesn't happen again to anyone. The least the District or Property Manager could've done is called me to apologize which would've avoided this post. I will NEVER use Hampton Inn & Suites ever again, because this is not only bad customer service, but unacceptable best practices, and customer service is not common. In the midst of my birthday vacation instead of me having a great time, I'm running up my phone bill and data plan trying to determine what is going on in August Georgia. Instead of enjoying time at the resort I'm on my phone. Not even to mention that family have to wire me money to get back to the airport, because I now only have $5 in my account. ...
Read moreFrom the very start, nearly all the employees gave off looks and vibes that we were not supposed to be there. We stayed there a number of years back for over a week to escape a Florida Hurricane. It was wonderful!. So we chose it as 1 of our stops for vacation. I had to ask woman ask front desk if Honors Members receive anything as she did not recognize us. She did not respond, just threw water in a bag & handed it to me. Ok, fine. We get up to the room & the tile floor was so slippery we almost fell. I called the front desk "Oh that is because of the cleaner we use". So, they are aware of the issue and don't check the floors so guests don't fall and hurt themselves? A worker came up and mopped the floor (with same cleaner), did not help, so we just walked very carefully. Also, shortly after we entered the room, a man (recognized as an employee from downstairs) started beating on our door. We opened it and he was already way down the hall. He had come up 1 stairway and went down the hall to another stairway. ||||We had gone downstairs around 4:30 am to walk, workers were setting up the breakfast area. Again, all giving us "what are you doing at our hotel looks". They kept going into a supply room and allowing the door to slam shut very loudly. Keep in mind this is right by hotel guest rooms on the first floor. I remarked to them that "you woke everybody up". One male worker responded with loud laughter, like he was proud of what he was doing. He & his female companion again gave us The Look. ||||Hilton needs to do an "Undercover Boss" episode about the place. The staff needs to be trained on "All Guests...
