Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Augusta

Well we decided to order takeout tn we ordered at7:12 pm K told us our order should be a ready around 7:45 we got to applebee's at 7:39 and checked in. 828pm our food comes out I understand they had a very very large order that was called in at 7 o'clock We were the very last order in the parking lot to get our food Also we wanted toget the 25 cent wing special but we couldnt get thru on the phone lines at all after 8 calls from 2 phones. We got looking at our order and couldnt figure out why it was 58.05 for 2 (2) 22$ meals but it upchrged us on 3 of the plates even though we didnt ask for an upcharge. The girl doing curbside was nice tho. We finally got our food Home because the girl doing the curbside couldn't do anything about our billl she said many people had stated the same thing that they were being upcharged when they didn't ask for it. So we get home And a pull our food out the mozzarella sticks look like they were barely cooked there were flat and when you pick them up they didn't even stay together they had been sitting there for quite a while and the celery we got with our wings for the appetizer didnt look like celery sticks and looked like weeks old i have picks 😔 absolute horrible I can't even describe it I took pictures and the roll on my husband Burger and before anybody says anything I know the food you get to take home isn't as good as when you sit in a restaurant and eat it but the roll was so hard it was like a rock Literally I banged it on my table and it didn't even break and all you could hear was clank clank clink on our table he had a hard time biting it he took one bite the bottom of it had the tomato and the lettuce on it and the roll on the bottom was so soggy so bad that u needed a fork to pick it up it was absolutely disgusting the worst meals we've gotten there and we love applebee's and for the price that we paid Which is about 10 more dollars than it should have been because of all the up charges we didn't order I would never do it again and I wouldn't recommend anybody to do it I have pictures and videos I wish it would let me upload it it was absolutely horrible. I understand the times we r in but when you cant get your meal fixed or talk to someone about it It was the worst take out experience I've ever had and it wasn't the girl from the curbside she was nice and waiting get our food till half an hour after they closed so you feel about it as it is sorry about this review but for the price we paid I am so disgusted😔😔😔 they should have just told us they couldnt take any more orders after taking that large order. Updated: 09/17/25. I was just telling my husband today when you can't decide where you want to eat people just usually pick applebee's. Good food your use to, you know the times for half off appetizers, and just a sense of familiarity, you go where you know. Not every service is perfect, not every service is top notch but it's a popular food spot with reasonable prices. Service wasn't the best today but I think they were short staffed. A couple times a year they have all you can eat boneless wings, those are a good deal, just keep an eye out when they do them. They are wheelchair friendly, budget friendly and health friendly, tons of healthy choices, they also include calorie counting on the menu. They have a full bar you can eat or drink at, they accept debit/credit or cash and you can pay on the kiosk at your table. I learned something cool today, on the kiosk on your table you can call your waitress, that's a neat feature. Portion sizes are always good here, definitely worth the price. My only nit pick is, how come you guys don't have gravy for your mashed potatoes? That makes me sad. Other than that, we love this place, thanks!

Updated: 12/30/24: Ryan was our waiter again. The best wait staff you got, we don't know him from out of the restaurant but we seem to get him quite regularly when we come in. Very genuine and attentive. Give him a raise! Food was great but was very busy today. However do miss the all you can eat boneless wings. Prices here are still reasonable and portion sizes are fair. Thanks for the good food!

This rating is based on tonight's service. Food is always great but red in my steak is a big fat no. Yuck. They rectified the situation and cooked it longer and I'm not one to cause a fit as long as the red in my steak goes away.

Ryan our waiter is always amazing. The guy deserves a raise, he works circles around most of them, always pleasant and always attentive. The man who brought my steak back out named Josh was super nice and he made sure the steak was done. Thank you!

The restaurant itself was clean and stocked, bathroom as well. Parking here is very spacious and prices are reasonable especially during half off appetizers. My only nit pick is you guys need gravy. But, your mashed potatoes are still really flavorful.

This is by far the worst Applebee’s I have ever been to. I came with a party of 13, and we called when we were an hour away letting them know we had a party of 13, and we would be there in 1 hour. When we arrived, we were left waiting for 35 minutes, as they did not have a table ready for us, and certainly did not try to hurry to correct their mistake. The restaurant was maybe 1/4 full, and there were multiple rows of tables open where they could’ve turned 2 tables together and given us a table, but instead they had us wait over a half hour to to get sat down, and they still didn’t seat our party together, we were sat down at 2 separate tables. The manager was the one to clean the tables and get them ready for us, however after he cleaned them, he walked past us in the waiting area, and we waited an additional 10 minutes to be sat at the tables that were already ready. From there we asked for a high chair for our 1 year old, and were told we were not allowed to have a high chair because they are fire hazards having them on the ends of tables, however we had about 8 feet between us and the next table, and there would’ve been plenty of aisle room. Instead they gave us a broken booster seat that my 1 year old proceeded to climb out of repeatedly. Since our party was at two separate tables, my wife and I were hanging out by the second table, talking to family, and we were told by the manager we were not allowed to be in the aisle, and we had to go back to our table. I sincerely hope upper management will see this and find themselves a night manager who won’t be losing this restaurant as much business as this manager has in one night. None of my family will be coming to this location ever again, just absolutely horrendous service.
