KFC — Restaurant in Augusta

Their food is usually fairly consistent. BUT....

Today I was MAJORLY turned off by their refusal for "walk-in" orders. Driving a truck with a dump trailer, so no drive-thru. So we parked the truck and walked in to the counter where people ORDER THEIR FOOD. We were told we either had to use the drive thru or place our order using and kind of online app. The lady fired that mandate at us over her shoulder without even looking at us, uninterested in hearing anything else, like why we can't do drive-thru. So we left and went to the Subway out back, where they know how food service is really done. I'll eventually try them again to see if they've pulled their head out of their backside. But if it happens again, they'll be losing all my business, and several others'... word of mouth beats commercial ads all day long. For now, skip these yahoos and get yourself a nice hoagie from the lovely ladies at the Subway behind this KFC. There's a great locally owned place in the same spot that does wings and seafood. I love KFC. I grew up with KFC due to my father managing several stores. I started working at KFC for my dad at the age of 12. I spent 25+ years working for KFC. Started as a server then went to shift manager moving up to manager. This restaurant #D958008 is in my neighborhood and I like to support my community,but the last 3 times I have been to this restaurant my wait time was to be 5 minutes due to cook to order, which I had no problem with until it took 30 minutes before my order was ready and with myself saying something about it. This as I said has happened the last 3 times I went to this restaurant, and myself being a former manager, this is unacceptable. I gave the restaurant the benefit of the doubt, and still unhappy with the service. Will go to a different restaurant...

Picked up an order from this restaurant that was entirely disgusting. First, they sat my iced tea out so long that the ice melted in it (instead of doing that last, knowing the chicken wouldn't be ready). My drinks sat out so long they thought someone abandoned them & the man told me I could have them. I said they were probably mine as I was waiting on an order with two iced teas. Tea was undrinkable. The chicken order was wrong & when I pulled the box out of the bag it completely ripped because it was SOPPED with grease! The chicken was far too greasy to even eat! Instead of following the chicken notes, they put the wrong pieces in there anyway. The tenders were tough & inedible. They left out the requested sauces.
