Taquería el Patrón #2 — Restaurant in Augusta

Weeeeeeeelllll, I was in love with them until they decided to not remake my order due to a lack of understanding on my servers part(English/spanish barrier). I ordered a taco salad and asked that it be broken down separately as I did not want it to be soggy by the time I got back home. I even explained to the lady further to separate my meat and my cheese, etc., as to not “mix” because it would make the fried tortilla wet. I did not check my order. shame on me. I gave them the benefit of the doubt because the last time I was there, I had an excellent experience. When I arrived home, they were already closed, and I noticed that I had a “mix “of meats (I only wanted beef). Furthermore, the tortilla was wet due to bad placement of the ingredients. Keep in mind they did it flawless about three weeks ago. I asked for a remake And the lady on the phone translated the whole conversation to my server (who remembered me) but didn’t understand me from jump. She flat out refused to remake it. And yes, I did tip. And I’m really sad because I think this is one of the better places in Augusta for Mexican food. However, I will not support a business that practices shadiness. no longer will recommend them to any body. The one star is for the the first memory that kept me coming back. Unwilling to fix their mistake.called and they had me on the phone for 14 minutes to keep relaying messages between the cook, employees, and “boss”. The girl literally hung up and I kept calling just for them to ignore the call purposely multiple times. I should’ve believed the other reviews about their terrible customer service. Definitely getting refunded for this garbage and reporting this location. You can be rude to everyone because you don’t know who you are speaking to sometimes. My order was cold and the tortillas were hard. Instead of them fixing it they just gave me three plain cold tortillas in aluminum foil. Who ever the “boss” is was very rude and lazy about it having the employee relay messages making it seem like it was the dasher’s fault because they wait for them to get there. However, I have proof of ordering from them MULTIPLE times and my food has still been fresh, hot, and NOT cold and hard. I’ve had birria tacos a lot so I know the difference and these were literally hard and cold smh. Better off going to one of the other places for birria tacos and more importantly better...

A few months ago this was our favorite spot this side of town and we would visit almost every week. It has continued to go down hill over that time. Each visit there will be hardly any tables full with 4-5 staff members hanging out behind the bar. If you don't want to wait 15-20 minutes between someone visiting your table you have to walk over to the bar to ask for help, which just makes you look rude. For context I am not one to rush servers and am very forgiving, but literally clocking 20 minutes for someone to walk through the dining area at an establishment like this is extreme.

Recently was served raw ground beef in a taco salad. They took it back and replaced with a taco but there was no apology or otherwise any concern for serving something that is dangerous to consume. The group hanging in the bar just passed it around and poked at it.
