I was hosting a baby shower for my friend who had a guest list of 60+ people. She requested I choose a brewery to host at for her beer loving friends. Looking for a place to accommodate her needs, and a good location was not easy in the Denver area. Most places wanted a deposit over $1,000! Imagine my surprise when Jennifer the co-owner quoted me $150 for 3 hours! I was so surprised I had to make sure that was not a typo though our email correspondences. She also was very quick answering any email I sent with evey question I had. After viewing their private mezzanine at the brewery I decided right there this was the best option for my friends Baby shower. With it being at the Stanley Marketplace it had many food options for the guest ditary needs which the brewery allowed out side food at the party.
They only had 2 rules no outside drinks and use tape that did not mark the walls for decoration which I thought was very reasonable. Continuing on communication Jennifer was good at confirming 2 days before the event which made me comfortable that they knew the event was comming up and there were no surprises.
During the event, we got our own personal bar and bartender with 4 beers on tap. They also had many non-alcoholic options at our private bar for those who did not or could not drink. I recommend there Guava beer or the citris seltzer. I wish I could remember his name but, our bartender was very helpful with anything I needed to set up and was very sweet to all our guests. Expessally since I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off the first hour. I made sure to give him a little extra tip for all his help with set up and clean up.
All in all, my friends had a stress free baby shower and the got exactly what they wanted for their special day. Evey guest had a wonderful time and was complmenting the brewery and how cool it was. Thank you Cheluna...
Read moreSep 2020: An update to my previous review: In spite of the difficulties posed by COVID, Cheluna remains our favorite brewery in the East Denver / Aurora area. The friendly and welcoming owners, Javi and Jennifer, have taken seriously all the precautions and requirements to maintain adequate social distancing. The service and staff remain as great as ever and of course the beer remains fantastic. I recommend their IPA's - Lupita and Cali and my wife recommends the Belga Saison Con Pasion and the Chilango, a delicious habanero chile and mango German Witbier. They also make the best Michelada you can find anywhere in the metro area. In these times we all need a friendly place to relax and get a great beer -- Cheluna's is that place!
Great beer, great staff, great atmosphere, great owners! One of the first places to open in the new Stanley Marketplace was Cheluna Brewing Company and from the very first time we wandered into Cheluna it has become one of our go-to places to relax and have a beer. It is a very welcome addition to the east Denver and north Aurora brewery scene. The selection of beer, brewed on site, is diverse enough to satisfy anyone’s taste. Beers come in 3, 10, and 16-ounce pours, and free complimentary spicy peanuts and pretzels are provided to go along with beer. Although Cheluna does not serve food there are a wide variety of restaurants and food vendors at the marketplace where you can order food, and have it delivered to your table at Cheluna. We have always found the staff to be nothing short of excellent. The atmosphere is open, clean, family friendly, and a great place to meet up with friends. There is live music on the weekends and they host a variety of other events such as brews and yoga. If you want to browse around the shops at the marketplace you can buy a to-go beer at Cheluna to...
Read moreSome girlfriends and I recently took a trip to Colorado and decided to stop in at Cheluna because they had great reviews. Well, we can honestly say they did not disappoint! From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a great big smile from Celia who was bursting with pride as we began sampling several, if not all the delicious taps. We felt a lil guilty continuously asking to sample, but she was more than happy to accommodate and graciously encouraged us as she described each of the brews and how they came about. All were so good, so I settled for a flight so I could indulge in a couple of my favorites. After a couple hours of cutting up and enjoying some great laughs, we were approached by Javi, who just had to see what this group of friends were cackling about. For someone who is passionate about customer service and has a business in it as well, I have to say this family is what it’s all about. They GET IT! They treat their customers as friends and are proud and supportive of their neighboring businesses as well. He took the time to introduce/show me his friends coffee shop down the way and had nothing but great things to say about other businesses within the complex as well. Later he introduced us to his lovely wife Jen, who is such a gem of a woman. We all enjoyed laughing and visiting with them both so much! We truly enjoyed our time at Cheluna, so much so that we made the extra trip back into town before we had to fly out just to say a quick hello and thank them again for an absolute amazing experience. To say this is an excellent place to go is an understatement….Mexcellent is more like it! Thank you Javi, Jen and Celia!!!🫶🏼 If we’re ever back in Denver, you’ll be my our first stop!!
