El Lucerito Jr. — Restaurant in Aurora

I've been here before. The chips, salsa, and drinks were good. They have a large selection at the bar. The menu is large, lots of selection. The food is good, hot and fresh. Not too spicy hot unless you ask for hot. You know me, I'm a wimp. It was pretty crowded when we arrived, but we were seated within 10 minutes. I will definitely be back. By the way, there's pics of the desserts: haven't had one yet, but I can't resist for too much longer.

4/20/18: My friend and I went back last night. I think the food got even better than before! I loved my smothered beef enchilada and crunchy Chile relleno. I mentioned that I was going to try a dessert and we got one with 2 spoons, because the Xango was big! There truly was cheesecake in it. I think I ate too much.... I'll be back whenever I can to sample more of their menu.

May 2018: my friend and I went back this afternoon. I really like their food, but I had the worst taco salad I've ever had anywhere. The salad was on the bottom and had leaked water into the bottom of the dish which ruined the shell. The shell was inedible because it had been cooked too long and was completely soaked with oil. It tasted b a d. BAD. 👎 There was no cheese on the salad and the meat tasted icky. I do like this restaurant and the food. Maybe my bad experience was because it was so close to closing time (we didn't realize it or we would have gone elsewhere). My friend had fajitas, his favorite, and he was not disappointed. Went in with my family at about 3:30pm. The server made eye contact and was aware that we were there but never came to our table. It was pretty slow and they only had two other tables along with a man at a bar that were served. We then switched to another table and they still didn’t even approach us. They had two other employees at the bar section just chit chatting and still didn’t send anybody over. I saw the man at the bar get his second beer served and we didn’t even get water offered to us. So we deciding to walk out. Terrible customer service. We then proceeded to grab some food from The Dairy Queen next door. Dairy Queen exceeded each and every expectation. Amazing customer service! Went there for lunch. Was seated quicky. It wasn't during a lunch rush, so they weren't very busy. The fist waitress brought us our drinks and a menu, then disappeared for about 15 minutes. Then a second waitress showed up. She took the order, and we got our meal in about 10 minutes. Not too bad, it then took another 20 minutes before anyone came back to check on us let alone bring the receipt. This is not the best place to go if you are on a limited schedule (ie, lunch break).
