Five Guys — Restaurant in Aurora

These guys are the epitome of fresh. I ordered burger fries and a soda. Total cost of this was about $17. That's a bit steep for me and I usually would not spend that much on a lunch but this was a special occasion as we don't have them where I'm from. If you're going to order the fries make sure you get the small as they give you a double portion that they just dumped straight into the bag and you have bag fries. I've only eaten here about three times and each time it was really good and I could never finish my fries because there were so many. So if you don't mind dropping almost twenty bucks on a really good burger fries and a drink I would definitely recommend this place. I sure there's some of you out there I wouldn't think twice about $20 for lunch but in my circles that's a bit of a splurge. twenty bucks usually covers an entire week of lunches for me with coupons and value menus abounding in the fast food world you can eat for next to nothing. I went in here and ordered a bacon cheeseburger, fries and a shake. They gave me the food and I asked for the shake and she told me I didn't order a shake. So I showed her the receipt showing that I did order a shake... Then I went to a table to eat and I noticed that my burger didn't have any bacon which costs quite a bit extra, so I went up and told her that they didnt give me any bacon and again rather than apologizing, she argued and said it was under the meat patty. So I brought the burger up to the counter and showed her that there was no bacon. Then she asked to see my receipt again. I showed her the receipt and again... instead of apologizing she said "well, what do you expect me to do cook up a piece of bacon?" Which, yes, that's all I really expected them to do... At that point I was frustrated and asked her to just give me my money back and she refused because I had already taken a bite out of the burger! That is the story of the last time that I ever ate at a Five...

This review is not specific to this location! The staff was very friendly and very attentive to the customers, great establishment to visit. This review is based on the bs prices they now have! $22 for a single patty cheeseburger, little fry, and regular drink!? This is outrageous! The bun falls apart, fries are soggy within minutes, and the drink didn't taste up to par!! For this kind of $$ you can get a 3 course steak meal at ANY reputable restaurant, very disappointed in the prices and direction 5 Guys has gone since opening in Colorado!! Used to be my burger joint of choice, but that has definitely changed.....can get a way better meal from Wendy's for a third of the price, sorry 5 Guys, but I doubt you will remain in business seeing all the negative comments about prices and value that are similar to my review.....another one...
