Ok, so it has been awhile since I have been to 5 Guy's and while looking at the menu I failed to ask very important questions. Upon spending $75 for five burgers 3 bacon cheeseburgers, 1 supposed to be Hamburger(ended up with cheese), 1 regular cheeseburger, and 3 large fries. I take it that the little burgers are the singles, and the others that do not have little in front of it are doubles. The person taking our take out order didn't offer any type of assistance, yet I didn't ask. We ended up with 5 double cheeseburgers. We really want 5 singles. My wife was really upset, I thought mine tasted good, my daughter got cheese and didn't want cheese, my son didn't really like his either. I would suggest that 5 Guys seriously considers putting up a new menu. A menu that is more up to speed with burger joints menu's, or include a key to therir menu to let you know the difference between a little bacon cheeseburger and a bacon cheeseburger. The current menu nowhere that my or I wife saw anything about a double burger, and your associate did not offer us any assistance. Well I take that back he asked us if we wanted drinks with our order, and after seeing a $75 tab hell no did we want drinks added on to that. For $75 I was not expecting to spend, I could have brought my family to a sit down restaurant and had drinks and meals for the same price. Yes I should have asked more questions but when I read bacon cheeseburger I figured that's what it was. I thought the little referred to kids sizes. It may be awhile for us to return to 5 Guy's because my oldest son and I were the only ones who kind of enjoyed the $75 5 burgers and 3 large fries order. Note: bacon cheese burger should not be a double cheese. Thank you for hearing me vent a little, and please try to do something with your...
Read moreAre you frigging kidding me? What a disappointment - I was brainwashed all the way from reading all the rave reviews up to the minute I actually had one. Even the aroma in the store was tantalizing.
Let me start off by telling you that the cheeseburger is actually a double patty, but it doesn't mention that on the menu - that's annoying. If I wanted a double cheeseburger, I would have ordered a double cheeseburger! When it arrived, it was more like a baseball shaped ball of food - I could not get my big mouth around it. After 2 attempts, I ripped one of the patties out - which I sampled separately later.
The fries were thick cut, but limp and not flavored much at all - even the little shreds weren't crunchy.
OK...on the plus side, the patties were thick and the fries did have the skin on (hence 2 stars).
Mildly intriguing: There was a whiteboard that had a hand written message identifying the city and state where the potatoes came from.
Nice try, but this place doesn't hold a candle...
Read moreSo much for being in and out when ordering online for pick up.! I arrived at 248pm and was greeted and asked if I ordered online. I said yes, she printed a receipt for me to confirm my order and yelled "online order for Daniel" I waited until 302pm after watching multiple people come and go and still not receiving my order before I went back up to to ask, when I asked the employee at the counter, I also told them I'd been waiting for about 15mins. He looked at me and said "sorry I just got here but I'll check" he walked to the pick up counter where I saw that my order had been sitting there the whole time I was there and just came back, handed it to me and said "oh sorry". To top it off, by the time I made it home my food was cold and soggy due to their mishandling of my food leaving it hanging on a counter for over 15mins! And I paid for $40 for 3 burgers and...
