DO NOT TRUST STIGIE – SHE’S A LIAR AND A SCAMMER!
On June 6, Stigie told me she would be going to Dubai in 3 days. She promised to take pictures of gold jewelry and let me choose, then bring back whatever I wanted. I was excited because every time I need gold, I have to order online, which is always risky. So, I gave her 22k gold (16.47 grams) to exchange for a 20g gold set along with some necklaces and rings.
Three days later, I called her—she was still in Colorado. That was fine, maybe something came up. But after that, she completely ignored me. No updates. No answers. No respect. I called, texted—nothing.
On July 5, I asked her to tell me when she’d be back in Denver. Still no answer. On July 19, I had my husband call her using a number she wouldn’t recognize. She actually answered because she thought he was a new customer and agreed to meet him at the store. When I showed up instead, she was shocked and had the audacity to ask, “Are you the one who gave me the gold?”
I was furious. She didn’t even remember me or the gold I gave her! When I asked about the jewelry I ordered, she suddenly blamed a “war in Dubai” and claimed she didn’t bring anything back. That’s when I knew she was lying.
Still, she apologized and begged for more time. She promised to send me five photos of different gold options by Sunday and said she’d have the gold in Denver by Thursday. My husband suggested we give her a final chance, so I agreed.
Sunday came. Nothing. I waited until 1:00 p.m., then called. No answer. I called again Monday. Then Tuesday. Her daughter picked up and promised to solve it by Thursday. Thursday came and went. Nothing.
So on Friday, I went to the store and demanded my gold back or its value in cash. She tried to give me $97 per gram—way less than its worth. I told her, “If you can buy this gold for $97 per gram, go buy it and give me back the jewelry I asked for.” Then she changed her tune and told me, “Pick whatever you want, I don’t want you to be mad.”
I agreed. But when I chose non-traditional gold, she refused. Then she claimed my gold was only 21k, not 22k. I was DONE. I just wanted this nightmare to end, so I agreed to lose more money just to be finished. She told me if I wanted the non-traditional set, I had to pay an extra $15 per gram—just to add insult to injury. It was 7.85g, and I ended up owing her extra money after all the lies and stress she caused.
If I had more time and a proper receipt, I would have sued her.
BOTTOM LINE: I was ignored, lied to, disrespected, and scammed—and on top of all that, I lost money. DO NOT TRUST STIGIE. She lies, she makes promises she never keeps, and she doesn’t respect her customers.
If you absolutely must buy gold from her, only pay AFTER you receive your items.
I repeat: DO NOT TRUST STIGIE!!...
