Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Aurora

Sadly I will never eat here again. We use to eat here all the time too. I went to this location at Southlands last week with my family. My dad politely asked if they offered a military discount and this guy making sandwiches yelled NO! Not to mention we ordered over $50 worth of food. He could have said it nicely. But he literally yelled directly at my dad “NO” no apology or any sort of acknowledgment. Which was surprising because I eat there all the time. That’s was the first time my dad was ever shamed for asking for a military discount. What kind of person would treat someone like that?! Beyond horrible customer service. There was no need for that guy to disrespect my Veteran father like that. We took our food and he just glared at us like, how dare we ask for a discount. I told my whole office staff and everyone I know not to eat at Jimmy Johns anymore. Everyone needs to know how poorly they treat Veterans. You can be sure I’m telling everyone Jimmy Johns does NOT offer a military discount!!! So disappointing! Will be finding some other place to eat lunch....

This is a complaint about upper-mgmt/owners, not the staff - who were all terrific.

The bathroom setup is EXTREMELY unsanitary. It's impossible to grab paper towels without touching dirty surfaces. Also, the faucets do not turn on for long enough. They turn off by the time you get soap in your hand. If you do automatic water, it needs to stay on for at least 45 seconds to allow a rinse, soap dispense, 20 seconds of lather/scrub, and rinse again. Also, on that note, the hand washing instructions offer entirely false information suggesting one only needs to scrub/lather with soap for 10-15 seconds. Wrong. That needs to be 20.

Basically, washing your hands in this bathroom will leave them less sanitary than if you had not washed them all.

Also, this is not a note on cleanliness. The lobby and bathrooms looked great and wete clean. It's that the hand washing setup designed by cheap upper-mgmt/owners...

Best Customer Service Ever!

Absolutely love this location. Before Covid started we frequently visited this location, but what I am throughly impressed with is the team ability to remain upbeat during the change. They always greet you with a warm welcome even if you can’t see them smile with their mask on.

Even signing up for rewards was an awesome experience filled with excitement and willing to go the extra mile! I love this team!

Tonight my husband went to pick up our sandwiches and our FAVORITE team member who has learned my sandwich order by heart wrote a sweet hello on my sandwich. Legit biggest smile ever crossed my face tonight. I seriously couldn’t have asked for a nicer form of kindness and 100% why I love this Jimmy John’s. Angie is extremely helpful, always kind and welcoming and always displays the best customer service.
