Updated again June 2021 My birthday was last month so I got an email for a free order of zeppoles. I had no idea what to expect, so imagine my surprise when we got a back of probably two dozen little powdered sugar-covered pastry delights. Holy cow, these things were better than my birthday cake! They’re in the same family as donut holes and beignets, and they were unbelievable. Warm and sugary… you need them. If you’re considering a dessert or just want a treat, I highly recommend the zeppoles!! Oh and we still love the pizza—we’ve tried almost all the specialty flavors at this point! Chicken bacon ranch is probably our family’s favorite, though the chicken parm and the Italian beef are also excellent. And the people are super friendly, which is always a good thing!
Updated Dec 2020 I’m changing my rating to 5 stars instead of 4. Due to our proximity and the menu options available, we’ve gotten Little Pops a few more times over the last 3+ months. The crust has been fine every order after our first visit, so their pizza continues to be a favorite of ours. There was some confusion with one of our orders once and they didn’t start making our pizza until we arrived to pick it up, but that was a communication issue (they called to ask a question but my phone assumed it was spam and blocked the call). Overall we have been extremely pleased with our pizzas from Little Pops!
Original review from Sep 2020 We got a large speciality pizza, half chicken parm and half bacon-chicken-ranch. The flavors were out of this world! The bacon was perfectly crispy, the chicken parm tasted exactly right - they really knocked it out of the park with their toppings. The only reason I took away a star was the crust. It was delicious, but it was really tough to bite, chew, and cut through (both the bottom crust and back crust). This place is 2 minutes from home and absolutely delicious, so we’ll definitely be trying it again! But my jaw is a bit tired from chewing and my son ate everything...
Read moreIncredibly disappointed, which is something I really hate to say about this place. I generally prefer to support small businesses and local owners, but after today, not here ever again. I placed an order today looking to try a new option, and unfortunately when the meal was brought back it lacked the additions I had paid for. I attempted to call the location to voice my grievance - I was placed on hold for several minutes so I eventually gave up. I decided to drive to the location to collect what was forgotten and after waiting a few minutes for the employee to finish up a casual sounding conversation, I was asked if I needed help. I stated that I placed an order and my name, and was immediately told by her that she had removed them from where the rest of my order was and forgot to give them to the employee I had pick up our order. I gave her a blank stare, and she then asked me if anything was wrong. I responded nothing, just that my lunch was ruined (food is cold at this point and I don't have a 2 hour lunchbreak at work) which she immediately said in an extremely patronizing manner that she was "Sorry" without doing anything else to rectify the situation. The food here and the family story is something I can really get behind, but if you don't treat your customers like you give a damn, you don't deserve...
Read moreOrdered a cheese pizza from Little Pops Pizza in Aurora and went to pick it up. It was little bit of a hike for me but I was craving some New York Style Pizza.
Starting with the positives... I arrived just beyond the 20 minute order window and my pizza was done. The staff was very quick to help me out and they were super nice folks.
I ordered the pizza well done because I love that crusty crunchy cheese and cheese bubbles. I think they missed the mark on well done. I would say that this pizza was cooked to normal.
The second issue was it seemed like the flavor was different from slice to slice. The first slice was very bland with almost no flavor outside of just dough and cheese. The second slice had better flavor with a good balance of Oregano flavor but it was still missing that New York Pizza Flavor.
Last issue is a tough one. I cannot tell if the pizza I got just wasn't sauced well thus throwing off the need for more seasoning in the dough. Or if the dough just generally needs more seasoning.
I'll give this place another try in the future. Based on their awards and other reviews, it is completely possible that I just caught them at a bad time or the pizza was constructed to their...
