Compared to the other Starbucks in the area the staff are rather rude towards customers. This Starbucks didn't always be so awful but over time the service has really gotten bad.
Generally speaking I tip generously as I have been on the other side of the equation, even if the service is bad in case it's just a off day. Of course it can have the added benefits of making the staff more likely to remember you and treat you better next time and even if it doesn't I'm OK with that. I won't continue to tip them as generously though if I see that it was clearly a pattern of behavior for them. This store seems to train their staff to be awful.
Using the app to order ahead at this Starbucks is a particular & frequent issue. I don't expect them to have the order ready always when the kids place the order while in transit, but this store always gives you an attitude when you arrive shortly after the order was sent. I could see the attitude if it was for 20 different drinks and I demanded them RIGHT NOW. However, I have never done that. It's been for 2 or 3 drinks and I am fine with waiting for a few minutes like the rest of the damn line.
They also mess up the drink orders frequently even if you make it very clear what you want and need which is why I had started using the app more for placing orders. Yet they mess up those orders too like not adding whipped cream to a Frappuccino because you selected low fat milk with extra whipped cream.
If for some reason you still decide to take a gamble on this Starbucks let me leave you with advice on how to handle getting your money back after they are rude and mess up your order.
After having tried to deal with the store and its management I recommend don't even bother talking to the manager there and contact corporate for refunds because it is all so...
Read more10/04/2022 The warm morning sun gently kisses my face as I am sitting patiently in line to order my Starbucks Coffee today. Just the mere thought of that grandiose body and flavor of my beloved caffeine addiction today sent excitement throughout my veins! In eager anticipation of my cup of Joe, comes along with my favorite Barista, Esha. Is it humanly possible for Esha to melt the sunshine? I would argue that indeed she can! Bright beautiful smile, positivity in every syllable, and a sweetness in her laugh. Not only may she be one of the most humble ladies I have met throughout the years, but she is kind, generous, and remembers conversations. This is impactful for people like me as her tone and exuberant personality sets the pace for how my day starts. The act of kindness today was so meaningful that it got me thinking again just how lucky I am to have lived in Illinois for 23 years. That young women like herself can leave a positive impact by paying it forward. To many people the act of getting up and driving to get a cup of joe is merely a habit, but for me it's an interaction between folks that you get to know. A kind exchange of words "Hello's" that can mean so much to the other person and never knowing just how impactful that one person can be over years! Thank you, Esha for always being a ray of sunshine, for always coming into work and giving it your all, and for being a positive in my life with your friendship and courtesy. It's the little things like this that...
Read moreStarbucks, oh faithful companion on my caffeinated odyssey! Let’s talk predictability—the comforting rhythm of my cup choices, no matter where I roam. Whether I’m weaving through the cornfields of Illinois or chasing sunsets in California, you remain steadfast. 🌟 Naperville, Illinois: Picture me there, frost-kissed mornings, scarf wrapped tight. The barista, a coffee oracle, knows my script: “Grande Americano, extra shot, room for dreams.” And there it is—the familiar cup, like an old friend. Predictable? Perhaps. But in its predictability lies solace. 🌟 Champaign-Urbana: Ah, the college town buzz. Amidst textbooks and late-night debates, I seek refuge. “Tall Caramel Macchiato,” I declare. The barista nods, as if to say, “You’re right on cue.” The cup materializes—a caramel swirl, a caffeinated hug. Predictable? Absolutely. But sometimes, that’s the magic. 🌟 Florida: Palm trees sway, sun-kissed skin, and humidity that clings like a secret. “Venti Iced Green Tea, unsweetened,” I announce. The barista, sun-kissed too, winks. The cup arrives—a beacon of refreshment. Predictable? You bet. But in this predictability, I find my oasis. And what lies between these dots on my map? A trail of cups, each bearing my caffeinated desires. So here’s to you, Starbucks, for being my compass. Predictable? Yes. But sometimes, in this chaotic world, a little predictability is the...
