Kiddo and I were out shopping when hunger struck—her craving? Asian food. My response? “Say less.” I could live off noodles and soy sauce, no problem. That’s when I spotted Mee Ramen, hiding in plain sight like a spicy little ninja right off Parker Rd. I pass it nearly every day but somehow never noticed it. Shame on me and my distracted GPS brain. It’s a small, unassuming spot—the kind I lovingly refer to as a hole in the wall. And if you know, you know: these are usually the gems. Mee Ramen did NOT disappoint. We both ordered the miso ramen, and it was chef’s kiss perfection. Rich, flavorful broth, chewy noodles, and the holy grail of toppings—a marinated egg. I was so inspired I went home and marinated some eggs myself like a woman possessed. (IYKYK.) The young woman working there was super sweet, kept our water glasses full (and trust me, hydration was needed). Because here’s the kicker—it was HOT in there. Like, sauna-with-a-side-of-noodles hot. I don’t know if the AC quit or just gave up on life, but that place was steamy. The soup wasn’t the only thing making us sweat. 😅 Still, would I go back? Absolutely. Just maybe in fall. Or with a portable fan. Because for ramen this good? I’ll risk the forehead sweat.

Usually Katsu Ramen is my go to spot, but I was around the area and decided to go because the reviews were nice. It was formally CrunCheese(10/10 place I would recommend-), and they haven’t taken the sign off. Upon first walk in, it’s clean, no one was in there, the waitress was on the phone and no one came to me till 10 minutes after. That I can overlook, it’s just a lunch for one, I was standing and looking at their menu so she mightve not been sure. I got shrimp tempura and their black garlic tonkotsu ramen(spicy). The shrimp was good, a bit oily. The ramen was bland, minimal flavor, there wasn’t anything special(which makes me sound like a food critic, im not I just really like food) and overall just a meh experience all together. Would I go back? Nah. I’d just go to CrunCheese or another ramen shop.

Fantastic. The truffle tonkatsu is amazing. It's pretty standard tonkatsu, but that truffle oil sets it off unbelievably. I had the black garlic, and it was a unique and wonderful bitterness to it. What I liked is it was intentional, so well done (pictured), and like nothing I've ever had. Shoyu ramen was kind of a neat clear beef-broth sort of thing and what I liked here is normally shoyu for me is a tonkatsu with more soy. Price - I think the three of us ate for ~50 before tip. Atmosphere - We showed-up and I don't think she was expecting us. Still had all the vestiges of crun-cheese. I don't think the three stars is totally fair but at the same time, it was a little rough.

My experience at Mees Ramen was somewhat underwhelming. While our server was pleasant and attentive, the overall quality of the meal left much to be desired. The ramen was served at a lukewarm temperature, which detracted from the overall enjoyment of the dish. Despite requesting the removal of certain ingredients from our ramen, it appears that this request was overlooked, as those ingredients were still present in the bowl. Additionally, we ordered the chicken karaage, which unfortunately did not meet expectations. The texture of the chicken was quite rubbery, making it difficult to fully appreciate the dish. While the service was friendly, the food did not live up to the standards I had hoped for, and I left the restaurant feeling somewhat...
