Mile High Pizza & Grill — Restaurant in Aurora

Very rarely do I ever do bad reviews, as we all have bad days including businesses however I felt this one was warranted. I ordered with Mile High Pizza & Grill through Slice, an app that lets you order pizza. I orders a pizza deal with wings and a side at 6:12 PM, the pizza app told me expect 65-85 Minutes for the pizza to arrive. After the time passed I decided to give at the very least 2 hours (120 minutes) before I called. I called at 8:12 and reached a man on the phone. I asked about my order and he said, it will take 45 min....right after I said that I ordered 2 hours ago and he sounded shocked as he had no clue and said sorry we are busy. So I sighed however I wasn't rude, just disappointed and said ok thank you and hung up. I wait the 45 min, and even wait 15 min more and still no food has arrived. I tried contacting mile high pizza and at this point I would like to cancel as its getting late, however no one was answering the phone. I contacted the slice app customer support and they were quite helpful but, they also couldn't contact them either as they would need to in order to cancel the order. I kept trying to call periodically and just assumed, I'm never getting my food. Of course I'm starving so I just fixed myself a quick small meal. I get a knock on the door at 10:07 and it is a pizza delivery driver. I kindly let the member know that I ordered this order 4 hours ago and he apologized and said that they had to call him in last minute. I told him that I was trying to contact the to cancel and so was Slice, however they couldn't get through. The driver told me that they muted their phones.... Of course I didn't take the food and told the driver that I was going to continue to cancel. Slice told me that they would contact the store tomorrow to get a refund. I followed up with Slice as they said they still couldn't get in contact with the store the next day, I confirmed this trying to call myself and finally after two days Slice was able to get through and request a refund. I'm never one to do bad reviews, however its a terrible experience I just couldn't shake from the way my phone call went when I called 2 hours in, to the fact that a delivery driver shows up when I'm getting ready for bed and says as a tactic they muted their calls as they couldn't handle the volume. It was a frustrating experience, I wish Mile High Pizza & Grill the best as I hope they can improve their process, however I will not be ordering...

The restaurant name doesn't give a clue to the delights available! My new favorite, & no contact delivery. Incredibly varied menu: pizza (of course) and fabulous Italian food, but Greek, Indian, Mexican, and both classic and unusual combos of American favorites including many vegetarian selections. And the most extensive sandwich options! Not just talking about the insides: calzones, subs, flat bread, hot pockets, melts, & wrap options I'd have to Google. Big assortment of burger combos. Comfort food like fish n chips, classic desserts. Must all be prepared fresh, as customizations are always accepted (& it's not like places where "no X" results in a menu item that someone's just scraped X off of). Best not-greasy, real (not formed from diced batter) onion rings! Ordered 6 times, delivery time varied but was true to what they estimated up front, so order early if you want a specific arrival time. Always been hot and delicious (except something I ordered with fajita beef that was tough once). Ample portions, often leftovers for breakfast. I have ordered delivery from here several times in the past 6 months. Burgers, calzones, burritos, tacos, Buffalo wings, lasagna, salads, and stuffed breads. All were consistently fantastic. Have yet to try their pizza.

Delivery times vary from 40 minutes to an hour and 40 minutes. It seems to have nothing to do with time of day or size of order. Puzzling. They do have a tendency to forget the beverages. I can't figure that one out either. I have called in my order for delivery and ordered online with both Grub Hub and Slice. The drivers are always courteous and respectful. And they always return with the forgotten beverages in a timely manner.

t's hit and miss with delivery times and order accuracy, but the food is always very good. So take the chance, it is worth it. I will certainly continue to...
