If you're ordering early, the food is absolutely atrocious. It seems like they serve unsold food from the previous day to the early orders the next day. I have had 3 separate occasions where 10:30am orders are delivered dry, under sauced, and far less flavorful than any given lunch order.
Panda Express has been, in the past, reportedly caught over saucing old food in an attempt to re sell it at a later date. ( Over sauced food tends to re moisturize the dryness of the meat), but I wasn't even given that courtesy. 3 times in a row, the Beijing beef and orange chicken were almost completely void of sauce, dry and tasteless. The rice was dryer than the sahara desert and the noodles were almost as hard as under cooked pasta.
And they certainly were not fresh. and in that manner, the food seemed overcooked to a char and almost certainly inedible. In the case of the orange chicken, I felt like I was eating the consistency of FRIED chicken without the benefit of proper seasoning. It was horrible.
Given the lunch menu, I think that this time is the proper and prime time to get their food. As with most restaraunts, their busiest timeframe is lunch hour. So usually you will get fairly fresh food considering the amount of food demanded vs. the food put out. So it is more consistently cooked and therefore fresher quality for the consumer. I get the fact that they're trying to maximize profits off of wasted food at the end of the day, but there really is no excuse to serve food the way I obtained it. I'm not looking for gourmet Chinese bistro in Panda Express. I am simply looking for decently prepared Americanized Chinese food at a decent cost. And if they're failing at that, then there is a much bigger issue at hand.
I would only recommend this location for lunch, and even then, you might be left wondering if the food you're eating is an unsold batch from the previous day. As I have not experienced this problem at any other panda express, I will be writing corporate about the issue here, since neither quality of management, or service principles have improved. but I'm sure their profit...
Read morePanda Express is probably my favorite fast food place, so I was very excited to see one being built so close to my house. However, since it’s opening I’ve gone through the drive thru and mobile ordered several times, and each time is very disappointing. Customer service is not great at this location and I always feel like a burden when I order here. Employees always look irritated. It’s like they hate their jobs. They handed me my food one time of several, and shut the window so fast, I wasn’t able to ask for sauces. Small portion sizes? Today was my last straw when I got 3 food items and anything with meat was sparse. Got a kids meal with broccoli w/ beef and I’m not even kidding there were TWO pieces of beef on the whole thing! Same with the other 2 items. And anything I ever get always has only a few pieces of meat and a majority of vegetables. So annoying! If I’m going to pay this much for a side, I should get what I pay for. Overall, less than mediocre. I know it’s the closest around, but I might just continue to go to the other one I go to. If you eat here, go inside so you can make sure you get all your food that...
Read moreI've come here often and have met some of the most kind and very awesome staff. I give service a 2 star based solely off tonights experience. Usually, I don't come into restaurants so late because I know how the service industry is after working in such an industry for ten years, however I did come in around 9, which is an hour before close, and they had slim to none choices for food. It was rice and chow mein, and teriyaki chicken. Nothing else. I can see this after 930, maybe 945, but not an hour out. I've come here many times, and I know experiences will be different from time to time, but not having food available while an hour from close was highly disappointing. The woman who was serving was upset I even walked in, and I can understand that having been in her shoes. Really, im not disappointed about her frustration or her colleagues' in a sense, but just no food an hour and some change out, wasn't it. You can be prepared to close as far as possible so long as food is available. Not just rice and noodles. Better luck next time, I suppose. Hope this isn't every night. Please just...
