I still can't believe that the best espresso drink I've ever had in my life is at a coffee shop in the outskirts of Aurora, so far out of the way for most Denver residents that they likely wouldn't even consider the drive. Legends Coffee is worth every mile. Perhaps you're in Aurora because your mom lives there, or maybe you just want to load up at a dispensary on the way to airport. Regardless, every Denverite and visitor would benefit from a trip to Legends. Take it from a devout coffee drinker. Their espresso is pure, fruity, nuanced, divine. Not only that, Legends consistently has a menu of creative seasonal drinks that is superior to anything else I've seen in the city. I don't typically choose the frou frou coffee concoctions, as somewhat of a purist, but at Legends they manage to craft the most joy-inducing beverages imaginable. I am particularly beside myself with their Ethiopian berry latte (I typically order it with oat milk--it's worth the surcharge). Words cannot describe how delightful this drink is, I can only hope that anyone blessed with the opportunity to visit this shop will try it. Legends started small at the Southlands farmers' market and worked their way into brick and mortar by making the best espresso drinks a gal can find in the Greater...
Read moreUpdate: Ownership reached out to me (see full reply on facebook) and said among other things "You got something to say step in my shop and ask for the owner and we’ll talk." Between myself, Jake & his partner, only I was in actually in the shop this morning. Maybe next time HE has something to say he will be in the shop where the experience on this day warranted less than one single star.
I don’t drink coffee but came across them for their breakfast sandwiches (they are great). Issue is they don’t make them there and are always out. Before going today we call to make sure they have some. Woman who answered the phone said she was not in the store (odd) and that they should have some. Got there and they were sold out of all options (they have 4 or 5 options and ALL were sold out). Called back and spoke with the same woman (who is the co-owner) who put me on the phone with a man (another co-owner) who made excuse after excuse. First said they are such a small business they don’t have phone in the store. Then said he texted his employees to see what was going on but they were slammed and hadn’t texted back. Then said that by health code they are not allowed to handle food and coffee...
Read moreI was so excited to try a new coffee shop, but unfortunately my experience was terrible. The customer service was complete trash. On their summer menu, they offer a weekly fruit tea refresher which sounded amazing, but it said to ask what the flavor of the week was. When I asked the girl at the front sighed so loudly it was embarrassing. It then took her about two minutes to even figure out what the flavor was where she was smelling the tea with her whole face in the container (gross and I’m sure at least one hair was left in the tea). I then asked what the kombucha on tap was (cue another sigh). I got the kombucha (felt like I had to after all of that) and a lavender lemonade. The lemonade was just lemonade without a hint of lavender. I had three friends with me and they all had similar experiences. One of my friends even waited 30 minutes for her danish because they never called her name for it. If this wasn’t bad enough throughout the whole time we were there (about an hour and a half) the same girl was banging things on the counter so frequently that we could barely talk to each other. I will definitely not be going back and telling everyone I know to go...
