I thought that Grape Leaves was a pretty good Mediterranean restaurant. This spot is a little small and the cook was also the server. Not saying that there is anything wrong with that, just commenting that it's that kind of operation. The place was very clean and you can tell they spend time taking pride in their cleanliness. I had this place on my list for the last few months, I am glad that I got out to try it. The food was a 7 / 10. We decided to get the family platter, which was $69.99. It had 2 chicken kabobs, 2 beef kafta skewers, 2 lamb kabob skewers, 2 chicken kafta skewers, 2 lamb chops, chicken shawarma and beef shawarma. All in all we were happy enough with the food. The dish started off with some hummus 5/10, pita bread (a little thin and would have been better heated up 5.5/10. The salad was fairly small and had a mild dressing on it 6/10. The beets that were served were very good, a little plain, but glad to have them 6/10. The main course was a nice sized portion. For the price tag you would expect as much, it was more than enough for two of us to eat. The rice that it was served with was well cooked and seasoned 7.9/10. Some of the kabobs were a little dry and others tasted like they were cooked a day before and heated back up. I would say that since this is a small operation that a lot of things must be done in advanced. I would say that this place is worth stopping by. I have had better Mediterranean food in Denver, but not a half bad option. I would return here to try more...

Read moreEver since I moved to Aurora, this has been my comfort food. I get takeout from this restaurant about once a week, occasionally more if I'm having a hard time.
I've only lived here since November of 2023, but there's something so genuine about this place that makes me feel grounded. The food is delicious, the music is wonderful, and the owner is very kind. He knows that I always choose takeout, and at this point I don't even have to say it for him to prepare it to go. He's even started adding a bowl of soup to my orders, and I'm pretty sure the soup isn't included with the meals! It's a small gesture, but it means a lot to me.
I live alone, but the food from Grape Leaves makes me feel like I'm eating a home-cooked meal. I look forward to it every time. If you haven't tried Grape Leaves, please do so as soon as you have the opportunity. You won't regret it!
(Also, to the owner--I need to learn your name the next time I come!--my name isn't Leslie. This is an alias account I use to avoid spam on my main Google account. I'm the guy with long hair and glasses who always orders to go! Thank you for making my day every time I order - your restaurant is my favorite out of every one I've tried since...
